What have you done to your car today?

I installed a WRX GC8 rear swaybar (20mm), replacing the OEM one which I think is a laughable 11mm! :puke:

Been a while since updating anything on here, but since the Forry has rolled over 190,000 miles (305k kilometers), i figured i would give an update. Replaced both front CV Axels, knock sensor, and getting ready to throw on a new set of A/T's before winter hits. Could be the last winter for her before i sell, but she just runs so d*** good i hate to see her go!
On a side note, I started a new job a few months back with the best dayum battery company in the world which has left my weekends free to play in the mountains. For the last month, thats been a bit harder as our main hwy to the mountains was washed out during the massive floods we endured up here, cutting us off from estes park and most of the mountains to the west unless we head down through Denver. Also looking into an old school 80s Jeep Grand Wagoneer as a bigger and funner weekend warrior.

Replaced the remote control aerial with a hidden powered unit that i put under the drivers windscreen pillar, Moved the uhf aerial off the z bracket on the bonnet to the hole to a convient hole next the the windscreen. The z bracket has slowly ground down my bonnet through vibration.

Moving the FM aerial should give me better reception on the UHF as it wont be being affected by reflections of the fm

Scooby2's rear KYBs made such a difference to her handling that she fronted up today to have her front done as well.. While she was in she had 2 brake rotors fitted, so she should be set for her next adventure :-) Her sister Scooby has had a slow diagnosis ... we think she has a faulty ignition switch, so hopefully when it stops raining she can come back to the land of the living Subarus!

Washed it yesterday.

It was absolutely filthy. Haven't been able to do it for months because of my shoulders, etc ...

Now I have to tackle SWMBO's. It's even filthier ... :(.

Replaced rear wiper blade. Yeah I hear ya; BIG DEAL!

But if you don't do it right then the rear upper brake light never gets wiped again.

1. Bosch razor Teflon edged, wide, metal insert, custom trimmed to fit.

Why Subaru put a crease in the top part of the rear glass is anyone's guess..

Refilled the washer bottle together with some rain-x additive.

I also hosed off the entire car because the fruit bats decided to use my Forry for target practice over night
And lets just say they didn't miss :eviltoyou:

As they say, sh*t happens :lol:

It's all good though.

I was able to hose it all off fairly easily thankfully :)

Averted disaster on the Maroondah Hyway this morning. Squashed a very angry red bull-ant on my dash. Must have got in the Foz when I was slashing grass on Saturday. Hope there aren't any more! For our overseas friends bull-ant bites are extremely painful.

Got a aluminium roofrack for cheap from ebay. Super happy with it but need to work out how to mount it now.

Also discovered that roof rails on SF foresters are not parallel....

Another member cut slots through the thin section under the main rail to put in the flat bar & attached his u bolts to that. As long as you have rounded ends on the slit (drill 2 holes & cut between them) you wont have a stress concentration. But then again, you're an engineer so you're prob way ahead of me on that lol :raspberry:
