It blends in well. There is one line where i sprayed to close to the tape, and when i removed the tape you can see the line from the new and original clear coat. But not that noticable.
Thanks, mate. That's helpful. It blends in well. There is one line where i sprayed to close to the tape, and when i removed the tape you can see the line from the new and original clear coat. But not that noticable.
Did you just use the clear coat from auto shop (e.g. SuperCheap Auto)?Touched up the clear coat on the boot door
My car when parked at home unfortunately gets a few hours of direct aussie sun.
On both sides i washed and cleaned the affected area. Gave it a light sand with 900 grit paper.
Then sprayed 3 coats of clear coat.
Came up nice. Not perfect but im happy.
Well after 2 months the clear coat has come off and im back to square one. I think i might try again with some bettet clear coat. Thanks, mate. That's helpful.
Protecting the base paintwork is far more important to me than minor aesthetics.
I was completely unaware that it was even possible to do this oneself, so great to know.
That's well worth knowing, thanks.Well after 2 months the clear coat has come off and im back to square one. I think i might try again with some bettet clear coat.
Probably a fair observation.Your SH is an automatic? Much heavier brake wear on autos. You live in a city as well so much more use of brakes. Still high wear rate methinks.
Looks like I`ll be up for pads soon!!!Actually - from the SH the rears generally wear faster than the fronts
