What have you done to your car today?

Something doesnt sound right at all. There isnt some spacer or something that you forgot to put back on. Did you compare the bearings side by side before you put the new ones in? If you jack the wheel up and turn it slowly is there any grinding/rubbing noise coming from anywhere?

I have to jack up both back wheels & even then its hard to turn because of the rear pLSD (it wants to turn the front as well so has to work against the centre vLSD). Before I put the hubs back on I spun the axles by hand & they seemed to spin fine. I had them pressed in by a brakes shop, they seemed to know their stuff. I was gonna get some new handbrake linings but the guy said I didnt need to, so they were honest & upfront...makes a nice change lol :)

No spacers...just a sealed bearing with 3 rubber seals. One is hidden when installed & the other 2 seemed to be right.

You can also unbolt the main shaft (gearbox-rear diff), its only 4 bolts, and see where the grinding or noise or whatever comes from.

I had to clean the carpets of the car because they were a little bit muddy:

... so I removed the centre console and the seats.

There was also a little bit of mud under the carpet so I removed the carpet:

I hosed out the interior and voila: clean!

Think I'll replace the carpet with vinyl, so it's easier to clean in future.

Bit of a mess there. Did the water come in through the missing port in the floor on the drivers side or did you take that out when you were cleaning for some reason?
Also what happened? Any pics?

If you look closely there are several ports "missing" I removed them to drain.

Pics? there is a video somewhere...

I see you are a master of understatement! :rotfl:

Did the water come in through the doors/seals or through the drainage holes in the floor? You could just seal them up...

.... if you had a high pressure water cleaner praps you could give your existing carpet a once over.... then hang it to dry... if the carpet isn't really badly damaged....

Best regards,

The top carpet is pretty easy to clean. I pulled my out and pressure washed it with no ill effects and mine was soaked in oil. The sound deadening carpet underneath however is a different story.

Did you say a little muddy

Geez Dulagarl, what happened ?
I hope everything else is ok with your Forry mate.

Great job with the clean up too I must say :)

We had a problem with my partners car leaking water, the carpet is easy enough to dry onces it's wet, the sound proofing on the other hand just throw it out. Once its wet its almost impossible to dry and then begins growing mold and stink no one wants to breath that in, or make yourself sick. thats my 2cents anyway

Just put in a brand new Varta battery. So now i should be prepared for winter :)

I also had an issue with water intrusion every time it rained, turned out to be the little plastic shield under the rain tray. The seal had dried up, so I gooped the snot out of it with more snot of the RTV variety and it's been fine ever since. Of course, the sound deadener was quite, quite rancid, so I replaced it with some carpet padding, and so far, so good.

As for things I did to my car today, I finalized plans to go pick up all the necessaries for an EZ30 swap, so I'll be quite busy in the coming weeks!

I turned the rear lateral links upside down so now I can connect the swaybar, not that it does much. I think its only about 12mm lol
