WA monthly adventure trip report

Went from Cape Nat end to Vidler rd exit and not the other way. The OB isnt high enough to do a section without smashing a sill, the rain has washed some ground away a bit in sections so i figured it would have been worse than usual.

All other sections it cruised through incl the Vidler rd exit rock sections.
Before the turn onto Vidler, there was a track heading straight which i have no idea where it went, went down it and the size of the hole in the middle of the track would be big enough to swallow an Impreza! Bad water damage..! Turning around on that track on the slope before the hole yielded wheels lifting, VLSD being abused and the front bumper clobbering the ground a bit :)

Sounds awesome, Three Bears is a great track!

Did you want to make a camp trip out of Lancelin?
There are more dunes at Wedge plus there are plenty of sand tracks South of Lancelin such as Wilbinga (where I just was) and many more. Might be able to stretch it out to a couple of days seeing as it is such a long drive from your place ;)

Videos are in the right spot, that's what this thread is all about.

And some pics from me

At the end of the day all three of our cars were filthy by our own varying standards

I'll have to wait until Tuesday to upload the videos at uni as my stubborn home internet refuses to.

Rear LSD diff has made it to the mod list.

I'm getting very jealous here.
My weekend consisted of closing a rally stage, that turned into a mud run :P
The 76-series copped a bit of sideways abuse...accidentally!!
Lost about 10 years of my life but we all survived in the end
Check out the RallyWA.com facebook or website for photos...you'll want to ;)

Glad you guys had fun in the sand :)

Fazed attempting a dune, a rear LSD would have helped on the first time, but the track was getting chewed up after a few attempts.

Our monthly adventures are becoming less frequent and our numbers are dwindling but Stilson and I still had fun at Two Rocks on Sunday. Here are some pics.

Yeah sure was, we need more of these adventures and more people!

Its easier to just post about offroading on the internet, and no need to clean the car afterwards.

Gonna chuck this up in here.

Headed out to Waroona Dam for a few nights with some mates from school. Introduced a few to offroading for the first time, had some shocked and surprised faces :lildevil:

Met a nice couple in a Maverick/Patrol and they tagged along for the two days. We spent most of our downtime recovering the Mav or performing emergency measures to prevent it overheating... moral of the story, don't buy a Patrol, even one in disguise ;)

The cLSD I fitted to Scooby this week has made a huge difference! Totally transformed the car offroad. Mud pans that I would've been stuck in due to simple lack of traction, I can now stop and start in! Write-up in the cLSD coming soon.

Highlight of the trip was a pretty nasty downhill section, it's in the video below. We did it both days, the vid is from day 1 and by day 2 it had washed out even further!
Second highlight was recovering Scooby by lifting it up and out of a rut! Heard about it, never thought it could be done, but with 8 blokes hanging around to help, its actually very doable! :poke: :discomonkey:
