Apologies, this is the best pic i have of this bit.
No need to apologize for this pic, its a great one, look at that pretty red car!

Couldve been better if the driver was giving it more stick ;)
But seriously, well done for persevering and (almost) keeping up in the stockie!
After my drive, i can see why you found it more difficult, even compared to the Outback. The softer, lower suspension and full front bar were doing you no favours

Got to remember though mine is raised 1.6 inches and it is supposed to be heavy duty suspension.

Ok so other then a busted rear tyre a checked under the car today and found I had torn the heat shield between the exhaust and the centre drive shaft half way off, which was rubbing on the drive shaft. So removed that and she is as quiet as ever now.

Good to hear it wasn't anything expensive. Are you going to replace the heat shield?

All was going well, and then Taza decided the going was too smooth...

Apologies, this is the best pic i have of this bit. Basically the road continued in this fashion, wide enough for 3 cars at speed, in a generally straight line for a few kms.

lucky buggers! :lildevil::monkeydance:

Open beaches it is. As fun as it was I won't be holding you guys up again on your next bush adventure.

Just remembered, you used to have a vLSD...what happened to that? I know its not as good as a plated but its way better than an open diff

Thats useless when one wheel is in the air which what was happening.
Just had to use momentum to get over the deep holes.
Only running a small amount of oil in it hoping it'll start binding up.

The amount of oil thats in the diff doesnt affect the LSD. A viscous LSD is fully sealed

You could try driving through the brakes, bit easier with your new powerful engine. It sends more torque to the other wheels. Whenever I lift a wheel now I immediately dab the brakes, its great feeling the surge forward when I do this :biggrin:
