Got dogs?

Thanks guys

Nothing to be embarrased about Blue Fox, I'm the same :)

He sure is one tough dog alright :iconwink: Survived being hit by a car a few years ago & this time he survived a deadly snake bite (Red Bellied Black Snake)

He's my baby & best friend :raz:
I don't know what I'd do without him :)

We have had booboo for almost three months. We dropped him off at the groomers for his cut and left.

We have not had a dog since my Dad died 11 years ago.

it is amazing how quickly you miss the little guys. The house was so quiet it was screaming, and Booboo is not a barker, he just sleeps.

It was almost depressing without him back.

Now here he is in bed next to me sound asleep. and the house feels warm again.

Amazing how quickly we open our homes up to them and our hearts.

A house is not a home without a dog in it.

It's amazing how quickly this becomes true. We have only had Tillie for 7 months now and it's impossible to imagine life with out her. We've always had cats before her, and some really awesome cats at that, but they are sooo independent that they never have that warm, fuzzy feeling of being a total family member. Completely different thing with a dog.

. I also told them the whole point of RESCUING a dog is to take over responsibility of his health to keep dogs from being put down.

You're a good man.

We rescued our beautiful pup and it was the best thing we ever did. She had such a great year with us before she was run over in Jan this year. Even with the heartbreak, would do it all over again.

I find this WAY too funny...:rotfl:

That is brilliant
I almost fell of my chair laughing :rotfl:

Someone posted this on facebook & thought it was the cutest damn thing. If i didn't have a basset hound, i'd be an english bull dog guy!

I'm a dog person, but I don't get the bull dog thing. My sister has one and sure its a good natured beast, but most dogs are. Its bred so it can't breathe properly, which also means it snores like nothing i've ever heard, it can't excersize for long because its out of breath so quickly, its so top heavy it can't jump more than 6 inches. You don't want to go near it because it leaves a huge patch of slobber on you because of its jowels, great as you head out the door to work. Oh and it has to sit in the house under the airconditioner all day during summer so it doesn't die in the heat?!?! another breathing/panting realted problem. This is from all vet reports a very healthy example of a bull dog i might add. Best of all she payed a $1000 premium for the privelidge, not including the vet bills it's managed to accrue in its short life span

On the other hand her free from the pound cattle dog is super intelligent, active, very healthy and basically maintenance free. Not too mention he's a magnificent looking animal. My kind of dog

^^^ Yeah, it's def. not a practical working/outdoor dog. If you don't mind the pooch lounging around the house all day & what could be high vet bills, their a good dog for you. Plus, just that bit**** look they give you is awesome  .
One of my good friends growing up had one that lived to be 12, eventually having to get put down because of cancer. They always kept him on some pretty expensive food, which i'm pretty sure is what led to his prolonged, healthy life. I don't recall him going to the vet much, except for the norm.

A couple of snapshots from yesterday, after I got back from vacation.. She sure was happy to see me back home.

It didn't take her long to relax and get all sprawled out for a good nap, though... She has no shame.. No shame at all.. :rotfl:

That's the #1 perk of being a dog person. No matter how bad of a day you've had, you can always count on the dog to be happy & cheerful to see you, makes your day instantly better. Don't think i could say that about anything else on this earth!

I think this is about the saddest damn thing I have ever read. From one of the soldiers who was killed in the big copter crash a few weeks ago. My throat actually knotted up after reading this

Read it here.... A man's true best friend

A dogs loyalty is unmatched, very sad story. Glad that they let Hawkeye attend the funeral, I wonder how often that happens???
