Thank You!!! Her name is going to be Mathilde Ruth Johnson, named after my great grandmother on my mothers side, and Ruth was my grandmother on my fathers side. 'Tillie' is what we're going to call her.:ebiggrin: Picking her up this afternoon when the kids get out of school, they are soooooo excited they are about to explode!!!

My big sheperd x beagle had a trip to the emergency vet last night. He was spewing up blood and was in massive amounts of pain. He's still there, waiting for ultrasound results. Looks like he ate something he shouldn't have. Poor old pooch Just had his 12th birthday last month.

My big sheperd x beagle had a trip to the emergency vet last night. He was spewing up blood and was in massive amounts of pain. He's still there, waiting for ultrasound results. Looks like he ate something he shouldn't have. Poor old pooch Just had his 12th birthday last month.

Hope he's doing okay today. It's awful seeing them in a bad way.

dogs are good at swallowing things they shouldn't. my mate had a staffy that kept spewin up everything he ate straight after he swallowed it. any water he drunk stayed down. this went on for a couple of days so he took him to the vet and had some xrays done. turns out he had a old whole marrow bone stuck in his throat. because the marrow was gone the water went thru but food came back.:lol:.

Time to update the puppy pics.:ebiggrin: We found out that Tillie's brother, Aspen, lives really close by, so we got them together for a puppy playdate. They both had a blast!!! Aspen's 'parents' are really cool too, and they have a son my sons age, so we all had a really great time.

She's awesome!!!:ebiggrin: It was our family encountering a part Basset puppy that finally made us decide to take the plunge and become dog people.

Thanks, she's a great dog. A good bit bigger now though, weighing in around 55lbs. Have to admit she doesn't have mean bone in her body, never snapped or snarled at anyone!
As a young couple, she's been a great first pet for my wife & myself. Once we get done building on our property, i would like to have a whole heard of bassets! 300 head or so
