What have you done to your car today?

Haha.

I'm currently at the exhaust shop.

All done  Its so quiet now, I love it. Plus after temporarily putting a CAI on yesterday and with this repaired it feels really quick. lol
It does feel more responsive though. I shall gap my spark plugs today also :raspberry:

AFAICT, I only have 4x bags.
How would I find out if I have another two?

I could suggest a way you could find out but I'm certain you wouldnt like it! :rotfl:

I don't think I would either ... :iconwink:
I was thinking the same thing & I was going to say something, but thought I'd better not  :poke:

Thats great to hear taza (or as you would say not to hear )
It will be interesting to see how she performs once you've fixed the gap issue with your spark plugs :)

For reference, I timed mine from 80 to 100 km/h in 5th HR on the Frankston freeway this morning. Took around 8 seconds.

Also tried out the handling at some large roundabouts and on the freeway at 36 F/ 35 R. Seems to be much better at both, with very much improved directional stability both on the freeway and on the couple of very large roundabouts (previously 31 F/ 30 R). None of the vagueness and wandering, even with a bit of a crosswind on the freeway at 100 km/h.

I will try out your suggested pressures later, Mr T. A "doctor" day today ...

I couldn't be bothered putting my American 1" nylon front strut lifts in and needed a wheel alignment so I figured I'd get the guys at Ayres Tyres in Belmont to do it, he took the front struts out & fitted the lifts, removed the 60mm blocks from the rear trailing arms as the wheels were a bit far back after extending them by an inch and did a 4 wheel wheel alignment all for $120, gotta say fantastic service and great price.......car feels that bit higher at the front and drives perfect. They do pretty good prices on tyres too.

Just fitted my rooftop tent and UHF. Review to come. Wish I could post a few pics for youse.

You should be able to use the uploader here at the site to upload piccies from your phone to your albums here.

Then post them.

I just uploaded this one from my phone:

that price is amazing to me... I thought you'd pay $120 for the wheel alignment alone

oh and stage 2 of the stereo install.... 12" sub in the back almost, just need to run a cable from the battery to the amp and fix the box in such a way it doesn't slide around but is easy to remove as I'm making it so I can easily unclip all cables from amp/sub box if I need room in the back.
any suggestions?

^^^^ They worked on the car for close to two hours so I'm over the moon, it's the same every time I go there, laser wheel aligner the works........You'd expect a bit of string for $35 for an alignment.

Ratbag is that a picture of a white forester in the snow? ;)

Just tested this from SWMBO's PC, and you are indeed correct ... :rotfl:.

Once I logged in the piccy was there, however.
A bit strange.
Checked my album permissions, and they allow public viewing.

I ordered myself a pair of these
..American of course! Not bad for only $8 w/ shipping out of a place in Georgia.
Thats about the same as what I paid :)
I got mine for $5 while I was out shopping for something else in the same store :)

i tried it today- not very sophisticated timing though. About 5- 6 seconds I reckon in 5th. Will try it in 3rd and see what the difference is. I'd love to be able to time it properly though.

LOL!

Wheredoyagettit?

Most of the bigger shops that sell auto accessories should have them :iconwink:

I got mine from Big W :) but I'm sure you should be able to pic them up from places like K Mart or the $2 shops also :iconwink:

Fitted an awning to the side of the fox and a crossbred diff guard - beautifully looking bit of gear.

Setting off for the second leg of the journey in the morning: Geelong to pt fairy (great ocean rd).
