Sounds like a great trip. if the Cooper punt is running again then it means that there is a decent amount of water coming down the Cooper. I was there in late April, but it wasn't running.

This should keep water in lake Eyre for a while.

Yeah there certainly is a decent amount of water coming through. They only opened the Detour about a week or two before I headed off. It's certainly been a trip of ticking boxes for the bucket list.

Regards,

Joel

The Foz ticked over 150,000km today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:ebiggrin::cool:

The bad thing is that 1st gear seems to be whining so I might be looking for another gear box soon :(

Clear coat went on the bull bar. Also mounted the bull bar with the help of my brother.
Pictures will be up tomorrow and I think it has turned out really well. Will also wire the lights up on the weekend.

I got 5 more factory alloys, with half worn tyres. So now when I need AT's I can buy six and rotate to keep them all equal.

So now I have 9 factory Outback alloys. I want to keep six, so I will be selling the other 3 to others who want to be able to rotate their spare.

Oh, and yesterday I wrote this article AWD and Odd Sized Tyres.

falcon & GU have finally been washed(in the rain LOL)
got some wheels for the comp truck & getting some more parts for it in the next few weeks

Was driving to work this morning and a young P-Plater woman on a scooter infront of me slipped over in the rain. I imidetally stopped, clicked my hazard lights on and ran out in the rain and lifted the scooter off her.
She was ok, just abit shacken up.

Look forward to hearing more about your reward for a chivalrous rescue.

.... Yeah I don't think so Dulagarl. Made me feel pretty good about myself helping someone like that though. Been feeling abit down the past few weeks.
I wouldn't be riding a scooter or motor bike in the rain though. Been there and done that with dirt bikes when I was a kid. Had a few accidents as ya do :P

Also changed my oil and oil filter today after work too. Only took me 25mins from start to complete finish and clean up :D

Only thing I notied is that if your Subie is at full articulation, with swaybar connected then there is no weight on them and they don't work. But if you use them as soon as you start to bog down them they are bloody excellent.
Very rarely wheel spin, they just grip and off you go.
Will post a video when I get the chance to get bogged on the weekend

Will keep an eye out for your vid taza :)
Will be great to see them in action

Detailed inside the "cabin". Did a quick once over under the hood and check the fluids while there.

Finally found someone who will redrill the 4x140 studpattern into my steel rims... cant wait to get them on..... hope they dont contact the strut.

Clutch kit, extra coolant concentrate, rear main seal and cam rocker cover seals arrived in the mail today :D

Very stoked, but won't be able to do anything on Ruby Scoo this weekend - I've been hit by some bug that's been going around the traps, I'm now on some antibiotics so should be up for the task next weekend...

Cheers

Bennie
