What have you done to your car today?

More like what I did yesterday on top of all the other crazy stuff that's been installed, but a new p/s rack and a set of rokblokz to replace my shredded sparcos kept me busy for a bit

Next on the agenda?

H6.

And after tomorrow's alignment, I get to figure out drop compensation for the H6 with a 60 lb weight left on the motor overnight, so i can buy appropriate spacers for the front to keep it all level!

Wasn't a broken strut but top hat, new top hat in. Started the trailing arm spaces as well. Lift kit almost finished.

Nothing. Went to check out a set of used 235-65-17 Toyo ATs for temporary vacation use (almost 1" lift) but were too worn out to be considered seriously. Not to mention that buying such a set would have entailed the purchase of a new, shaved tire as a spare...There is no easy solution to the "How to get a bit more clearance w/o altering the vehicle permanently or too much" question....

was finishing my lift kit today, until i sliced the end of my finger with the angle grinder. Ruined my gloves kept my finger though so i'll live with that trade off.

Annoying thing is i wasn't even doing anything stupid...Cut my trigger finger so i can't weld now either so the lift kit isn't getting finished today. :(

The problem was they were my favorite pair :rotfl: they actually fit, a friend gave them me to as they were a freeby when he was working on site at a smelter (everyone gets a free set of glove coming in)

to top everything off my bench grinder caught on fire too!

Nice one...that really is a high lift!

I sealed up a few holes in the cabin but still have a lot of little ones to go. & thats only one side done!

CC unit moved up next to glove box:

I wont have time to seal up both sides, just have to make sure I dont dunk the drivers side too deep lol

I had real problems getting mine in as well. If the holes are not exact they just wont line up the threads even though it seems perfect. I ended up enlarging some of the holes slightly which helped heaps.
Also have you disconnected your rear swaybar? With it connected its near impossible to get them in...

Yea i have, just so dam hard to get the fine thread to line up.

jf1sf5 just can't get them to line up, the unf thread needs to be almost spot on to start the thread.

Thats why I spent a long time getting mine perfect then made a jig. The last ones I put in I had a bit of trouble one side & the other went straight in. They can be tricky little buggers!
