What have you done to your car today?

anything besides the shock damaged taza? can always put them on ebay as "lowered springs"

The front pair have both broken. It was a defect and Robinson will replace it along with the shock.

In hindsight they should have replaced the pair as it was likely if one was defective the other would be as well. Now they be up for a new strut as well!

Obviously the pair of springs was made on a Friday afternoon. Lol
Never buy a car built on a Friday or Monday! Same goes for components I guess :rotfl:

Maybe next time go for King springs lol :poke::raspberry::rotfl:

Lol :rotfl:

Good to hear that Dobinsons are honouring their warranty & replacing them for you :)

They certainly do have solid customer service

It's a bugger that they broke, Taza, but good that Dobinsons are honouring their warranty properly. Not as common as it should be, these days ...

This is what I done 3 weeks ago, only have time to show it now.

TBH I don't think Dobinsons should get the credit for this one, but the brilliant customer service of Malaga springs and suspensions. The spring is actually out of warranty by a few months but the guys there are great and are wanting to do whats right. They acknowledge that a spring should never, ever snap.

Replaced the RR wheel bearing, oil/filter change and trans filter/fluid change last week.
It's the least I could do after the last WV ride...:lildevil:

Got my new wheels and tyres today and a 4 wheel alignment. Now I just need to find a RS Bonnet and work out what sort of light bar I want to build.

^ hey mate the pics aren't working for me. ...
They didn't show up for me either at first.
Try logging off & then on again, sometimes that works :iconwink:
Or if that doesn't work, try logging on to here without the www. at the front.

Anyway, getting back to it, those tyres look great 65bellett, nice 'n' meaty too :)

Regards
Mr Turbo

Awesome looking tyres. I thought PZeros were just road tyres, they look like rally tyres :lildevil:

Yeah they are Rally Tyres (Road Legal though) They Howl like mad but you can't fault there road holding ability on and off road and they certainly help the highway gearing compared to the crappy Chinese 14" tyres that were on it.

You should make/get a diff breather and fit is before putting the diff back into the car. It is almost impossible to fit a diff breather to an installed diff without significant pain and suffering.

Went offroad with NachaLuva last Thursday and my car started making a pretty ugly knocking noise all of a sudden. It was definitely an internal engine knock so i had RACV tow it to my mechanic in Melbourne. They didn't get a chance to look at it until Monday and by that time it wasn't knocking any more. At this point it's running fine, but I've done an engine oil flush/cleaner and put in some Liqui-Moly oil, as well as added some engine resealer to help with some oil leaks. Also installed my new Dimple magnetic drain plug while i was at it  Looks like i dodged a bullet in the short term but i am anticipating an engine failure at some point.

Certainly will

I still think it was something to do with such a long, steep descent. I wouldnt have thought the oil could drain away from the pickup on a descent to cause starvation but perhaps the pickup is at the back of the sump to allow for heavy acceleration & it all drained forward

I reckon you should call the guys up in Qld who built it & see if they have any suggestions...
