What have you done to your car today?

Needs a few tweaks and I can push it back two inches, which I will likely do this evening, but not bad for free!! The bottom will also be getting trimmed at some point once I get a better handle on the skidplate situation, as mine is brand new and already quite a bit more hammered than I'd like

As of right now, just two beefy 1/4" steel brackets that bolt to the bumper structure and protrude through the bumper cover. my bumper cover was in awful shape from the very beginning so I had no problem slicing it up for this.

As you can see, there's definitely room for it to be pushed back a bit but that's not a big deal, just another project for a later date. This all started after a friend retired his Explorer and had it on his porch, so we held it up there for giggles and were quite surprised when it actually was a very close fit

Thats what I call a bargain & my kind of price.......Free :p

A very close fit indeed :)
It actually looks quite good sitting on the front of your Forry too :raz:

Looks awsome, way more useful then a nudge bar as it offers protection around the lights.

It looks like it was made for the Foz, great score :lildevil:

Today I had my Kuhmo muddies fitted to my Audi rims. Got a great deal from the local Beaurepaires...5 tyres fitted for $50

Outback rims with Geolanders on left, muddies/audi rims on right. The kuhmos are actually ~1.5" bigger...& much heavier :(

Clearance tyre to spring perch? What clearance! :shake:

few burn outs will fix that

I'd steer clear of bolt on wheel spacers. Only heard bad things about them. Let alone being illegal.

Seen any bad things about them from a mate or first hand?

Just been reading a guy's build thread in the US where he's raced an outback in a mexican 1000 mile race in April. He's running 1.25 inch spacers with the same arguements. He's not had an issue with them and even doubled two up to get him out of a spot of bother mid race - ran like that for 300 miles over rough terrain without issues!

If you install them correctly and buy good quality items there shouldn't be an issue.

However, I think they are illegal in Vic :(

Cheers

Bennie

PS, it's a 34 page read, and addictive. You've been warned!

Changed a cv joint, ball joints and tie rods, degreased the underside of the engine as well. Only one problem... I'm pretty sure the roll pin in the cv isn't suppost to break when its being punched out, lucky as all hell it broke in the middle of the gearbox stub! otherwise getting it out would of been a nightmare

Sounds like you haven't had a good run with those Dobinsons taza!

Sucks it was your first hill climb too!

^ yeah your right. The front pair have both broken. It was a defect and Robinson will replace it along with the shock.
I still stand by them and am happy with them. Obviously the pair of springs was made on a Friday afternoon. Lol
