What have you done to your car today?

Had a guy look at my wheels/camber for an alignment.... his answer: You're not going to correct that positive camber without modification. So I'm thinking I might take the lifting blocks off the front and see what happens to the camber. Because sliding the struts all the way to the inner wall of the tower ie hard against it was still not enough.

I went to the scrapyard and grabbed a few parts I needed.... and I stumbled on sidebars from a 2000.

Anyone knows how sturdy they are, and how hard they would be to remove/mount on my 2002? The car sits on the ground (wheels have been removed) so I can hardly see if they are rusted or something... from the top, they look fairly good though. Not sure if it's worth the trouble to try and remove them...

Thoughts?

Pic related, it's like these:

Je pense que ce ne sont que des guirlandes, les mêmes qu'on met sur les sapins à Noël !

Its just worse when you go off road, they will affect the angles and could bend the chassis, better put some sliders like Superu_legacy.

Today i ate my breakfast as in the car as i was running late, i spilt some coffee on the cup holder and dropped fruit peels on the rubber passenger floor mat. I've made my foz into a very expensive mobile rubish bin with an stereo...now to detail the inside on the week end

I found an EA82 MPFI air box on ebay. The guy said it had a 2.2L filter element in it and wasn't sure if it was the right one. it was $45 incl postage. One step close to getting my snorkel on

Thanks guys for the comments. Picked up the raised spring and struts today. The big challenge now is do I fit them or pay someone else!
Drove down to Melbourne today and filled up, got 7.28 ltr per 100k. Awesome !!

Do it yourself and save !

Put out the word and I'm certain the offroaders in your area will prostitute themselves, their tools, and their expertise in exchange for beer and food...we are easy that way !

There you are, HC.

You could do it yourself, after all.

Good on yer, mate  .

Nice one!

Yeah it's been quite some time coming! And it was a bit of effort to get it all installed over a weekend!

That'll be great for your gearing with your tyres! What size/brand are they?

That was half of the idea behind it. The tyres are Kuhmo (?) Road Venturers, 14 inch rim size, 27 inch diametre. I'd have to look at the tyre to tell you more - and with the snow weather outside I'm not moving off this warm couch :poke:

Cheers

Bennie
