What have you done to your car today?

Pulled the rear brake pads for replacement on Saturday - they've given me the wrong pads! BUGGER! Had to put it all back together again.

Installed the right pads today, luckily, as one of the pads was almost at metal! (they were $5 cheaper than the wrong pads too)

G'day Lads,

Well, couple of improvements over the weekend, finaly added the awesome ORS Sticker (Thanks Carl), fixed the passenger side plastic wheel arch i smashed doing a water crossing with zipties and investigated further my plans for the snorkel followed by the duel battery setup. (Another one of those things I will be looking at the more experinced of you guys to advise on...);)

Obviously the 'WWW.OFFROADSUBARUS.COM' sticker was the highlight though....:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

My 1" lift from Subtle-Solutions arrived today. :woohoo:
Only 7 days from the time I ordered them to being in my hands in Australia. Well done Brad

I will be having the lift installed in a couple of days (Sat morn) & perhaps some new raised Kings aswell :) (haven't decided on them yet though) since the rear has sagged some what :o

Can't wait to see what my Forry looks like once they're installed. :)

not 2day but yesty I dropped around to my M8's house & had my winch bar measured up to do the mods to get it to fit as well as make the bar look more like a comp spec bar & also my snorkel, I left hem with him over night & have just got word that all that's needed now is to finish cleaning up the welds & a bit of paint
so tomorrow arvo I'll be going back to my m8's place to have them all fitted up

Today, I spent a few hours with my Dad's help to plan a storage system in the Forester, spent hours trying to design a floating type, to make it easier to get the spare tyre out. Gave up and went with "connect-it" from bunnings, which is aluminum framing for furniture. Made a start, I will put up photos when it is finished. I bought a Waeco 40L esky (can't afford a fridge) to suit the storage system.

Joel

Well after recieving my1" lift/strut tops from Subtle a few days ago, I finally had them installed today by Wholesale Suspension. :quitar:
Whilst I was there, we also discussed a few things & they are going to make up some trailer arm blocks (like Kevin had done) for me aswell, together with some custom made rear springs (to help eliminate the sag factor) both of which will be put in at a later date. :)

Here are some "before" & "after" pics of my Forry with the 1" strut tops.

Lift looks good Mr Turbo.

Ogjon, only the top bit of your images load. Not sure if it's just me but I can't really see anything. I can see enough to work out you've fitted a front bar but can't see any details.

I agree with Apsilon, the lift looks good Mr Turbo. I might have to get a set for my Forester, any chance you could give a review on the strut lift? Apsilon, as far as OGJON's pictures, I'm not sure what is wrong, because I can see the full images on my computer.

Regards,

Joel

Thanks guys. :)

I can't give any feedback yet as to their offroad perfomance yet, however I'm going to Abercrombie N.P in a couple of weeks time, so I'll be able to give some feedback on them after that trip... which will be a good test for them. :iconwink:

What I can say though is that there is no difference with normal onroad driving.
It feels, handles & performs the same as before they were installed  whether it be fwy, twisty or hard cornering...And trust me, I've driven it pretty hard (especially on the way home) to give it a good work out.

Edit..Apsilon I can see the pics in OGJON's post fine.

Mr Turbo

Looks good OGNJON, but i prob would have braced it a bit more before i tried to winch off it.

Nice noticeable difference Mr turbo, sure looks the goods. They just look like they should after a lift. Looking forward to the rest of the mods to come.

Oh, and i LOVE your rear bar. Makes me want one so bad everytime i see it, and its even convinced the missus the forester isnt complete without it  Thanks

that bumper is wicked looking OGJON and mr. turbo, your lift has a nice stance

what did i do today? well at 3AM thats, 3 in the morning, on my way home from work i stoped to play in the snow.
long story short, as i was leaving a parking lot i didnt see the snow covered median an i ran straight over it and blew out both right side tires and bent one of the wheels.
i spent the next two hours waiting for a tow truck to come, which they called back and said conditions were to bad, so they wouldnt be out until daybreak, so i called a buddy and left my car in the lot. i woke up later and got two wheels and tires off my other car and changed them out in 6"s of snow and wind.:madred:
