What have you done to your car today?

G'day lads,

I bought a Thule roof pod. Its currently on the Sante Fe but no doubt will "accidently migrate" to the Foz when the time is right....

Awesome deal. ARB Townsville knocked about $100.00 off it so made my day.

Aitcho.

took a hammer and got a dent out of my left front fender so i can open the door now.
some other time ill take some spray paint and paint where it chipped off at

'Charlie' gets a Camper

Purchased a second hand trailer camper for 'Charlie' to pull.
A small Qld model. The 'GoGo Camper' made by 'Weekender'.
250km from Heyfield to Melbourne (via Maffra) on back roads, including some gravel with steep hills, and freeways. Didn't know it was there!

Power slid around a corner on the way to work :D

Gave Ruby Scoo an oil and filter change the other week.

Other than that I've still been arguing with Kmart about my damn tyres

Cheers

Bennie

Damn, if I knew you were coming down this way, I would have said call in for chat.

Beigewagon.

Last couple of days I've built a storage unit for the rear of my SWB Pajero. Sized to fit various plastic boxes I use for camping etc. Field test on the trip in a couple of days.

Looks great apsilon :) Will have to have a closer look while we're camping at Lidsdale.

Regards
Mr Turbo

Looks good Apsilon. What were the materials ? (Looks like some sort of component system judging by the pic.) Could be useful for me, now that I need to revise my rear to accommodate the Autofridge.

Finalised replacement of the flat plug at the rear hitch. Spotted a possible leak around the filler in the rear diff while I was down there.

Yes, it's the aluminium Connect-It or Qub-lok system depending on who you talk to. Wasn't the cheapest option but I had to keep it light so it was easy to remove on my own. About $16 in black for a 1.8m length. Connecting pieces average $1.50

How many metres did you use and what supplier did you get it from?

I used 8 lengths and had about half a length left over but my design wasn't exactly simple. This might give you a better idea than the photo:

I ended up just buying from Bunnings. Partially because they were surprisingly cheaper than another supplier I called and partially because I had a $70 gift voucher for them.

Recently got a set of stock 16" steelies, painted them white , put some crappy rubber on and had fun on a skidpan day

In the pipeline: 4 pot WRX brakes

i got a huge spotlight that plugs into my cigarette lighter. i dont know the "candle power" or whatever they call it, but its has a massive beam and i havent been able to find anywhere far enough away that it wont light up like day time.

Be a bit careful here. Could draw too much power through the socket and burn out the wiring.
The Auxillary sockets might be a better bet but someone here could probably advise you.:)

Finished adaptors to hook the Autofridge to 240 volt transformer indoors and 'merit plug' yp ciggie socket in car. "And he shall have 'coldies' wherever he goes!" :bananatoast::bananatoast::bananatoast:

Looks good - but - what happens once inside the fender - e.g. does it bend backwards? If not, ingesting water could be an issue.
