What have you done to your car today?

This is untrue. The standard transmission in the Outback is a 6 spd manual, with the CVT as an option. They did away with the "normal" 4 and 5 spd automatics.
My error, sorry for the confusion.
Is the manual single or dual range?

In the U.S., it's single. The U.S. never got a dual range Outback. The last Subie to be offered with dual range here was the L series Loyale in 1994.

Oh, and yesterday, I went four-wheeling in the GL-10 and had a little nice 3-wheeling action. As it turns out, GL-10s like to lift rear tires a lot with their lack of articulation.

oh, and made plans to trade the GL-10 for an XJ cherokee... possibly

OOOOOO YEAH!

hmm not today but last wednessday I put my terry into the local mechanics
EL MONSTRUO ROJO is in a sad way atm & will be off the rd for the next few weeks until it's fixed:sadbanana:
front brake pads completely gone
steering idler arm mega salt corrosion(pulling severly to the left) & needs to be replaced
need 4 new tyres as they've worn very unevenly due to buggered steering

Ordered a new CD player with a USB port so i don't have to cart heaps of CDs around with me. It's not a top of the line one, just a $200 Alpine head unit but i reckon it will do the job.
Also got something fixed that has been annoying me for years.
Got a strip of 20% tint put across the windscreen to stop the sun sneaking through between the visors when you ha ve to put them down.:):)

I let my head go today & decided to put in a 2din 7" touch screen DVD/CD Player in my Forry. :discomonkey:
I got it for a great price too. :quitar:
Here it is before & after.

hey Damo that looks
horn :discomonkey:

Removing the old CD Player's not very hard. As for wiring up a new unit, I let the place I bought it from do that part. Mainly due to it NOT being a plug & play.
Simex did a good job of explaining it here. Replacing CD Player.

Mr Turbo

Phillips bright white headlight globes from Bursons, yesterday. Have blown 3 globes since January, so decided to 'up spec'. (Only ever notice at night miles from home, when the only replacements are cheapies from an all night servo.)

Also more stuff for the roof rack - 'itchy feet' now, as Monday approaches!
