Figured out the dash rattle that has plagued little Rusty since I bought him. 3 bolts tightened and torqued to spec and no more rattle

Welp, I drove to Hotham today, on cruise most of the way.
Ruby Scoo performed flawlessly as usual, I've not had any signs of a HG issue - I'm yet to check her out after the drive up but the temp was fine as was the oil pressure
Cheers

jamie your pictures come out very well
I just installed this - https://www.cushieaudio.com.au/subaru-ipd3.html. I can now play ipod/iphone and anything with a headphone jack.
Very cool! I need to research a solution like this for my new (to me) MY06 Forester, as I am getting tired of cycling between the two CDs that are left in my possession. It's urgent time to get my iPhone, iPod, and/or iPad connected!
Isn't there an aux plug on the front of the radio in the MY06 to plug your iPhone into? I thought they had been pretty much standard on all car radios since the late 90's
There is a 'thingy' that can be had to fit in the back of my radio.
DGen sent me the link in a PM once, but I lost it...
Still, at $88 this is a while lot cheaper.![]()
Great to hear, Taz.
When your valve guides etc get fixed up, you won't know your car ...![]()

Thanks, yeah the oil burning is definately getting worse. Even just driving behind my car on the freeway people can smell burning oil from a few cars length backI even experenced this myself when I swapped cars with a mate. As soon as you put your foot down too clouds of smoke just some puffing out
