checked front arches for rust and how it looks, and put some bitumen spray over there , and then put back that plastic cover back

oil leak .. and its not slow anymore.. its like dripping when engine going. and it stops when engine stopped and some colder. so yh i guess no more driving for me ...
when engine on its just goes.. like non stop driping . well this car just dont want to leave me alone and enjoy driving i guess.. its just cant... all electrical problems ,, speed sensor ones and such... and now this ..

it stops leak when oil level goes to low mark .. so yh and looks like its not coming from like outside head gasket just from some like sealant connection of that gasket... so yh .. i guess removing engine ... just not in winter not in cold not outside
wonder if some cold weld stuff would seal that thing .. though i cant see where it leaks from not from bottom part so must be from top somewhere
 
Sure i can see it well if it would be outside i could maybe even plug it for time..but no it must be where i cant see or reach...so it doesnt play easy on me .. lol
Ohh and abs lights doesnt comes up when cold started, so go figure i mean how low temperature can affect those errors... But well i had some problems from my gearbox last year yoo and it was affected by cold or hot as well...maybe its som cable contact somewhere thats like affected when its at cold. i mean since cold started i didnt had any abs traction control lights anymore... So yh
And did i parked car and just left it because it has oil leaks well no ... I put some stop leak stuff in oil ..put more oil and just drove it to work..i mean it just leaked until oil level goes low...i know i shouldnt do it ..but maybe that stop leak thing do something from inside..maybe not..well yesterday i drove like 80 km and today morning before go to work i checked level and it was just bellow middle so not low yet...and i drove it...
Dont have any savings now that i could use to fix car fast or smt so i just going from salary to salary here...so i do what i can ...but in winter i cant do much now...i need other car then...could buy some rusty garbage for some 500 to just drive to work ...but again waste of money ...i looked there is some old subaru justy for like 450... Its from those models where they where like suzuki or some models then not real subarus i guess
Still could be maybe nice project...i need to do something on those mine 4 free days..and to get more money too...i could buy older subarus maybe lift them put some roof racks and sell... Well at least that would be interesting for me...just not sure people wanna still buy here older cars because all those harder and harder rules comes every year...for cars..soon i guess we wont have those older cars on roads at all...
 
so was not doing much for some time and i thought with all problems i have on car maybe i could still work on it...and its winter we got lots snow too so its perfect time to work outside in cold lol ...
so i made rest of spacers for 4" / 10cm lift . i ordered all longer bolts allready ... allmost

and then yesterday started this job ... i thought it wouldnt take so much time but i took me like all day , like 7 hrs or more.. so i worked in cold and in dark later in eve too...

and result is kinda weird though in front it should be about 9cm lift in rear i did 10cm lift ... but result is front is much lower ... hmmm and rear is too much ... like i couldnt put that strut with hands no way it was too much ...so probably i will need to make strut spacer shorter there or put extra spacer on subframe...not sure why ... i did all by formula meaning 5cm plus on subframe so strut spacer then is 10cm .. so ok .. and it was too much for some reason... maybe not much did those lifts on self level struts not sure .. maybe those struts are some different more stiff maybe ..
just got back home late night like at 22:30 ... and i started maybe after 12am

o that rear looks kinda ok with those larger tires you need that extra lift for them to look proper... but front looks like too small lift ... well when i was putting struts in place i saw that i have some extra 2cm space like it could be more lift ... so maybe those extra 2cm would work in front still .. though i put 6cm spacers on top of forester SH struts so it should be about 9cm lift in all ... but it doesnt look like it
 
But i didint found other info earlier about what happens with 4" lift. Like that engine starts to feel like you sit near engine so loud now...its just dropped and i guess now alol kinda new sounda comes inside .. someone said that me that too he put some extra sound isolation there... So yh ... And then air box.. at least on 3.0 engine its large air box that doesnt fit after you dropped engine . So yh ... I somehow force it there but if its like touching something there it making noise too...
Sure its louder that i removed rear exhaust part because it doesnt fit now kinda as well .. it wants to touch that rear subframe.
And i dont like that steering now too..as made that u joing longer.. it feels different..and very light
 
I mean this must be too much height lol..
I mean im 186cn /6.10' and now i just can just reach to close rear trunk...just about.. thats like...lol

And its like 35cm / 13.8" under rear diff.. it went somehow more then it should. it only maybe 1cm in lift differences but now rear is like 4cm higher then front... Go figure...Maybe those self level struts have something to do with that too like they stiffer or smt
No rly for good of rear cv axles i will like lower it maybe by 1.5 -2 cm so i could like put rear struts just by hand... Then its must be like healthy angles for them.
Looking back at myself when i drove with 7cm in rear just on struts .. poor diff and axles lol
Someone said earlier that i could just sleep under car with that lift...now i can even roll over under car in rear.. its that high haha
 
imagine you open rear trunk and you cannot close it because you cant reach it ... :LOL:

its 80cm to loading height .. its kinda comfy that you dont need to bend at all ...
but yh numbers are kinda nuts there ... and i will lower it maybe some 2cm max. ... still it will be amazing high

then in the engine area, that engine holding link is no fit anymore... as it dropped down.. i drove like that for one day and it was just so much weird noises from engine side...so needed to fix that ... as allways diy , no longer link needed and no welding needed... i saw other people like weld something extra there ... why ?
and that air box was touching AC tubes there so those needed to be loosen a bit ..still AC tube touches that air box , but those not vibrating there much i guess and i put some rubber between them.
and much more silent now ... still its you hear engine more anyway now ... but for some its good sound ... like me

and i mean front its still lifted 9cm , i mean its 6 cm spacers on SH struts and those gives like 3cm about lift .. so must be like 9cm .. and it looks like its not even lifted .. i mean looks weak ... need maybe 2-3cm more in front ... to look appart ...
i mean you allready could drive by person on ground and dont touch it .. but those are like weak numbers ... lol we need some more .. to look ok with those larger tires... now i get it why some those obk lift them like 6'' , i mean they dont look like much on that just 10cm lift .. lol ...

^ ^ You need a strap on your hatch lip so that you can reach it ... !!
 
I dont need but others might lol .. well its my car so yh ...i open trunk then...
Now think about roof rack on top or even better my roof box that open only from rear and goes very high up ...that kinda new problems there...
 
Front got 2cm more lift..now looks appart to rear... Though rear will go down little. So maybe front will go down then according to rear.. will see how it will look . As front spacer is from 2 parts for now untill i know how much i need.
I just messed up steering angle and now i have all lights there so will see is it like some line that broke as in older models or whats there...but yh i guess i broke smt because airbag light came up and volume controls on steering doesnt work anymore.... Ouch

Will now try to look into that steering stuff those vdc and airbag rings / sensors there got messed up i guess... Maybe nothing broke yet but it needs to be checked...
Now front is 11cm lift about...and rear..sits on more..maybe 13cm though it should be 10cm ...lol
 
Must be broken that spring there...because nothing works on wheel anymore and it feels weird too... So didint thought it would be more trouble but then i asked for it i guess .. to work in this weather at dark too ..i wasnt focus enough or chill...i guess so just made mistakes .
 
I just need to clear my head now and rethink some things and then do all that needs to be corrected and such...as wheels have bad camber of course .. so smt to do there...adjustable links would help there in rear but i wont buy some expensive stuff for sure...front bad camber as well .. maybe need to redo those spacers... And i allready like shifted them inside ..well thats not enough then ..just some more things i need to put in my head and think of ways to do it .. and dry garage would be best thing now sure....

time for that nasty oil leak ... took me half a day .. well most hrs just to kae off first cover because person who did that job before me left all bolts damaged so i could just remove them with simple HEX . that was terrible... after that chain and other bits came out just at eas

my idead is tommorow remove rest and then put all back same day and maybe drive even... well i mean if all bolts would work ok that wouldnt be a problem..
and yes outside on melting snow .. so its not cold at least...
 
year wont end good ... i put all together .. drove.. .and ... it still leaks in same place and a lot.. so car not usable at least for long distances.. and i wont take apart it again outside... not in this weather ... so yeah ... it sucks to not have more money .. so i could buy all stuff i need to change ... like all rubber rings oem and such... but no ...so i spend 2 days .. and last day kinda in rain ... and its just same.. just leaks ...
so yh thats how year ends... with car in worse condition then it was ever before. ...
it was kinda ok before lift and all .. but oil leak sure not from lift ... but it was kinda okish before.. so now its nor driveable
traction control light is on allways after lift

ac has leaks so no cold air in summer
heater hot heating half car
abs sensor or something wrong ... though its hard to say
its uses a lot petrol in general
ohh universal catalysts just went off i guess... so those not working anymore for co2 exhaust either...
and year in work ended so bad that im not sure i even want this car really... for finances.
 
Well money makes all things work ..or not work...love too...so cars...sure... Fix car... Or buy new car... Old new
