examples for myself how lift would look with my rims and how bumper cut would look
xKiztQ7.jpg

so normal steps for me do lift at least as much as in that pic, and then maybe cut bumper

car how its sits now, how +5cm would look and then +7cm wheel is in the air
would need bigger tires for better look there.

checked front arches for rust and how it looks, and put some bitumen spray over there , and then put back that plastic cover back

Yes those models supported slightly diff for 05-06 models and on 07-09 its more parameters there. But i read prople who did this exactly on 05 models.
I need to do better diagnostics on mine though yet to understand problem maybe more to source with romraider or freessm. Shame they dont work with those bluetooth adapters and needed at least vagcom cable or openport 2.0. And i think those chinese cheap openport cables wont do. They can work but they can not work so its like lottery you never know.
And im getting now too rich fuel mix errors from time to time as well both p0172 and 0175 which means that is too little oxygen in mix .. hm why is that then...

So i was reading about intake vac leaks its nice all in one place and they showed radiator leak in area that i think my leak is.. so radiator leak is vacum leak too? Meaning that engine will loose vacum by that and could run bad from it?
So its common leak then and mine i think its there as well..but i thought like its just radiator leaking, why engine work should be affected by it... hmm
attachment.php

I cannot see how a radiator leak would affect vacuum

Then its just leak i just wonder it was on lgt tuning forums and it was said like i take vacum leaks like first fix all leaks before doing like any serious tuning or smt...and they showed this radiator leak said its common leak in that place. Maybe its just for fixing leaks then not about vacum or intake just it was in that thread so got me thinking

does it cost a lot to drive around for you there ? yes forester can be much better on mpg but then petrol price can be ouch. like i did last trips to sea and back in all its about 550 km if not driving anywhere else around . and to do that i need to put like 110l of lpg which cost me like 56 euros about that. car screen shows in the end that im using like average 12.8l fuel. well as i counted with 10l lpg i drive about 80km distance.
so that would be bad for petrol , good im paying just for lpg which is half petrol price and even more then half sometimes.
so i mean its costs to drive around is it ? sure depends from salary for some its maybe nothing . so i did allready 2 trips to sea and back this month and now i will do another and then in couple days another one. and then sister comes visit and i would like to take her to sea too... but those euros will just go away so fast ... yh . well you pay for weight and engine i guess...dont think lift helps mpg and roof rack adds some too.

Just before long journey thought ill try wind deflector ob my roof rack , thought this or steel one. So first this in test
Had idea to paint it black but for now left it see trough.

Doing now terrible on last trips on mpg like via last one that was 550km it showed like almost 15l usage i mean omg usage. No errors though but no power after like 100km/h speed it cant keep up speed 120 in 5th gear so using 4th most time and even that gear fails to keep up speed if not straighy road. How those engines should drive though?
Like how your foresters doing on high speeds. ? Now im driving in strong wind on highway and its even worse its not even puting 5th gear at all... wow
Overtaking its doing on 3rd gear at speed 120 3rd gear ...so much fun
And those 1.9tdi passats just cruising around me overtaking in 5th gear i think. In silence ...

At sea again , found my younger brother. Those 4th gens are nice and higher stock then 3rd ones.

You've got a heap more ground clearance than that one though.

Yes with huge lift 7cm sure but he had larger tires from look and no lift . Lifted it would go much higher.
Still wanna try more agressive tires and make rims black see how that would look. It can look nice silver car on black wheels.
Not sure how wind deflector works as cant compare now i dont remember how it was before as it depends from where wind blows and how strong it is. But it catches all bugs thats for sure and then looks just dirty.
And what angle it needs to be maybe mine is not right angle still too steep maybe.not sure.
And in this state car is much better on mpg on lower speed up to 100 then highway speeds its really hard for car to keep that 120-130 speed on highways as its allways switch from 5 to 4 and back and even uses 3 for overtakes.
Tried drive on locked gears, but that 5th gear not saving fuel if its tortured still shows up to 15l usage if its hard for car.
Sure it goes some.bettee o petrol alone then lpg but i duno still how it should be with this engine. Like should it accelerate if using 4th gear fixed on straight road and floor it , but on 5th gear it feels like no power in it at all. It can go some but weirdy its better on lower speeds on higher it does t feel so well.
And now too rich fuel mix errors pops up on low speeds. So thats new. Why too rich ? Fuel system, injectors problem ...hmm or not enough air. Air filter new. Maf cleaned, pcv cleaned, throttle body clean. .more puzzles

Mine is OK in the highways. On tours with long drives, I get around 7.4L/100klm on average. When there's a lot of low speed and uphills, I get around 9.5L/100km. N/A EJ20s get happy after 4,000 RPM but I drive up to 3,000 RPM only, especially with the A/C on. After 4,000 RPM, I can overtake almost any ute at 3rd gear, on the uphill and without passengers.

When BM Outbacks were introduced, Subaru said that the engineers were able to tuck the exhaust parts higher up than previous models. Your BP is at around 8.4" and then the Outback XT is already at 8.7". They were able to tuck in the exhausts more into the body. That's probably the reason why from 2008, Subarus look much higher than previous models when in fact there isn't that much difference.

Re-doing the dimensions of the exhausts can be a good modification, actually. Some owners are already getting better departure angles after redoing their mufflers.

I think the angle that you have is similar to the Yakima Loadwarrior's. They can help with the fuel consumption depending on how crowded the roof is. Anyway, whatever is on the roof will always impact fuel consumption. I remove my tray when I don't need it, especially in shorter trips. Cheers.

Well this just 2' lift on that but it looks very high there. More or about same ast
i am with more lift
Same size wheels as mine now too
IMG_4120_1200x1200.jpg

Those more agresive looking models anyway those bp look like just wagons more, but maybe im just seeing that way other models then mine.
Sure bp can go to extreme as well

Yes, BM Outbacks definitely have higher overhangs vs earlier models.

BP Legacies and Outbacks have timeless designs.

What if... rims where black, glossy black . Thats just plastidip so it can be pealed away later. Just to see how it looks.
pBCzpLv.jpg

Will do more layers but its so simple i just cleaned rims with cloth not even washing as they where no dirty and sprayed just as it is on car. About 20 min for both sides couple layers on.
Tried one side mat and other glossy not sure maybe i like glossy better will need to look at it more.
Wonder how those brake pads dust will look on them later and how good they will clean/wash.

Or how about no roof rack or roof rack in full black no red motives on sides?

And result

Not sure will see other day ,maybe those red motives on sides where good though.

All black is good. I think you'd need some red on the car to make the red bits on the rack work.

well red brake calipers. red rear light. little red recovery mounts, red hi lift jack

about my new errors now they pop in everytime. sometimes even without missfire errors only p0172 and p0175 too rich fuel mix in bank 1 and bank 2 . dont get it what happened with my fuel system all of sudden there ? i wasnt getting those a week ago or earlier... so what went wrong there...
i put back original fuel injectors some time ago , and now yesterday i put back other injectors on 246 those that i bought used ones. i thought that will change something but no , same.

now when i think of it , i changed back to new spark plugs as well. its weird they new NGK plugs , whats wrong then with them? shouldi put back again old bosch ones. cant remember did i got error after i changed plugs or earlier... i removed headers some time ago but i put all back and all looks good sealed at least till catalysts. hmmm. its hard to follow now when this error started .
ohhh and its having hard time to start sometimes, sometimes starts from half turn but sometimes i need to use that starter long time until it catches fuel i guess. i didint had that earlier too. but then i removed fuel pump one time and put that back, maybe its not sealed there properly and gets air or something ...
