examples for myself how lift would look with my rims and how bumper cut would look
xKiztQ7.jpg

so normal steps for me do lift at least as much as in that pic, and then maybe cut bumper

car how its sits now, how +5cm would look and then +7cm wheel is in the air
would need bigger tires for better look there.

checked front arches for rust and how it looks, and put some bitumen spray over there , and then put back that plastic cover back

Plus i have LSD in rear i think that might help some there though looks like all 4 wheels spins.
I was surprised as how those tires even struggled on straight at bottom but then it got to top somehow. And compare to my previous VDC where i would just turn all VDC here its stays on just turning TC off is enough. I found ABS solenoid fuse under hood so i could even use that for full no abs no vdc thing but not sure if i would even need that.

True. It seems like the car had all the possible options installed during its release.

The 3.0 was only ever top of the line in Oz as far as I know. I think there were 2 trim levels, but mechanically the same in the auto.
something like that.

so 15 rims on outback 2005 can it be done ? found some pics and info that it can with special kind of rims with more offset or less in numbers, thats cool but what about oem subaru 15 rims steels or others put on 25mm wheel spacers or 20mm , would that work then ?
as i would like to go on some mud tires or AT tires not much choices on 17 rims much more choices on 16 rims but even more on 15 rims and they can be cheaper on 15 size so thats even better. but would i fit them without buying expencive rims.
my brakes are those smaller ones still .

Yes, I used a 15" OEM steel rim as a guide when "modifying" my front calipers for 15" wheels. So long as the stud pattern PCD 5x100 is the same.
You won't need spacers if you grind the calipers.

you mean any of those in size 15 would fit me with some grinding only ?

then worse thing is how you clean those steel ones from mud after you did some muddy stuff , i had problems to clean mine and i can do it from outside , what you do if that fills with mud from inside and you cant drive car more then 50km/h then ? remove wheels and clean ? ;/

great . thanks. so you know that those same size calipers then mines are ? well its good to know that if i will need i have that 15 option too. though not sure if and when i will change tires now, as spring is like travel time camping time , and with this sallary i cant afford new tires for now. even cheap ones well i wouldnt call 80 euro for tire cheap here all tires cost a lot more then lets say in us. like toyo open country TA plus in us can be so cheap and here they are like 100 euro for tire, on my size i mean its crazy , and in us website they selling them like for $65-70
and used tires that would be good option to buy some maybe even mud used tire to see how it is for cheap, but here is no such things, some used tires you can find for like large 4x4 cars and those are large tires but nothing in this size here. many things its hard to get here because ebay or amazon its too much for sending its like not worth it , and local online shops are smart they raised prices knowing that people will still buy them.

mudflaps in rear, just some rubber soft but strong , i used those in my work for some stuff so took couple peaces to try long ago for mudflaps, and now i thought maybe in rear they still fit with those large tires. for front not sure though, i like idea mudflaps as they where on subaru wrx cars they where outside so tire couldnt touch it

rear looks better with little more lift here as car still just came down from jack so its sits little higher, i would like to have that height as normal if its possible without subframe spacers not sure. though with new springs i might get some 1cm lift wouldnt i ? or harder springs.

well found out that someone used 15 rims but just some special with more offset too like rally style ones and they where good. some people used without lift and some even put there 235/75r15 as in those two pics. looks cool and so large even larger then mines now and much more cutting involved haha. i wouldnt want to cut that bad line lol
tDLGRx5.jpg

but i would never buy any expencive wheels for off road for sure or even stock subaru rims if they not cheap, because otherwise price its same or larger then just pick some AT tires on my oem 17 rims . it would be an option just if its cheaper and easier to find tires sure.

Yes, we can get those but they cost a lot because they will be coming from the US. The alloy ones are made by Method and the steel ones are made by Bassett. The steel ones have lower offset so they stick out.

Thought i will check how to adapt my roof rack from 2001 to this which have solid roof rails no gaps and found pretty simple solution to just lift it first some more and then some diy mounting solution. Just need longer bolts and i will be testing it
UJu6kL1.jpg

and then how to keep it mounted without buying expencive roof rack just so i could put my riif rack on it ? why spend money on this i mean and they write on them that you cant open sunroof with those as they not high enough , i mean what ? so i made mine that i can open sun roof it should hold with this kind locking pretty well i hope

testing roof rack on and later new paint job and test again

so can you just base platform or with sides , they bolt on can be removed any time. new paint , looking good. earlier i saw many other cars same color same model same wheel as mine, hard to separate mine from others , but now it is . noone have this kind roof rack.

nest want to put extra leds on it 2 in front or led bar in front , 2 on sides and 2 in rear or at least one in rear. just need to figure out wiring to roof rack , where best to pu wire how where best way to lead it . and how to make less wires for all leds i dont want to have like separate wire for every pair or leds there. and sides i would use just on bush nowhere else, so they can even have stiwch like on top near them , no need inside car, but would like at least separate switch for fronts and rear lights to have inside.

its gonna be recovery point , and tow ball will be there with some adapter too. never needed towing anything but its nice to have that just in case.

continue with my rear recovery mount and tow hook mount. drill throug all and secure all with bolts in case my welding wouldnt hold on, and then thought to make it even stronger connect that with tow hook it must be stroingest now as it can be all connected there

cut bumper area so i could attach and remove shackle adapter if needed . works great , looks great too. happy with result
LBE6lPf.jpg

But does my pin is strong enough for that shackle reciever adapter? I put it diameter 10mm . Should i go for 12 mm maybe then? My adapter is just 35mm i think which counts as 1.25 inch in us or somrthing. Some people tell me are you sure your pin is strong enough there?
I duno rly i just bought it in truck shop saw pins , thats it. Should i need 12mm pin instead of 10mm or its enough there ?
