examples for myself how lift would look with my rims and how bumper cut would look
xKiztQ7.jpg

so normal steps for me do lift at least as much as in that pic, and then maybe cut bumper

car how its sits now, how +5cm would look and then +7cm wheel is in the air
would need bigger tires for better look there.

checked front arches for rust and how it looks, and put some bitumen spray over there , and then put back that plastic cover back

I noticed that some wiring harness kits have the actual external plug included and some like the Curt one doesn't. It seems like yours doesn't. The ones we can get here have the external plug included in the kit.

It looks like you have the 4-pole harness in this video:

We can get a harness similar to the one here:

yh i should ask first and check what plugs people using here on their subarus. like what small box trailers have that you can rent here. so i wouldnt need more adapters then for that.

Its not winter that i was hoping for but then for car is much better less salt and all. Winter tires where for nothing so good i just took used ones.
Thinking what to do for spring. Cheap version just use same tires until they gone. Better version buy some nice AT tires.

another VDC test, TC on so it can even kill some engine power but still its enough for all to work, it must go up the bump in front so its pretty hard work and sand so soft it can be seen how fast it digs down. and tried this time 1080p 60fps recording, not sure if its any better or worth it for youtube

tire still dont fit proper inside even with bending that part, 215 would fit i guess same size just 215 so it would be narrower and that maybe would be enough. or smaller wheel spacers, those 25mm are too much , it ws fine for 2001 outback somehow with smaller tires, but not now maybe 20mm would work ir then 15mm at least. because without spacers rear tire touching spring.

so with those tires i got 3 cm more lift just from tires but not sure was it worth it , or with smaller spacers then maybe it would work with this size. would be nice first to try other size and see if its ok before buying .
then again if i will buy new AT tires on 17 or 16 size rims i need to know what size i can fit there without those problems that i have now.

Are you leaning toward the 17s more? It may be challenging to find a tyre size that won't rub smaller than what you have now unless you cut parts of the wheel well.

I was thinking that i want stay on my rims that i have but if needed i could move to 16 buy some cheap steel rims and put some AT tires on them, i think even tire 215 instead 225 that i have now could help enough, will see what i could find or could afford. Russians make some cheap AT and off road tires, but they coming just 16 size , but price is just about 65 for tire, though they just summer tires. But maybe thats fine.

I looked how they look on subarus and people on foresters and outbacks using them fine, at tires maybe look not that cool but those off road ones looks great for me

And for me i could go like 215/70 on 16 if they have that size, it still will be little smaller then i have now

Some companies have 215/60R17 A/Ts as their smallest size for 17s. That may be too small for your taste, though.

yh i saw some 215 or 225/60 tires on 17's. i think 215/65r17 would work for me if i would put little smaller wheel spacer it would go inside in rear . maybe even with just 215 tire instead 225. but i dont think i will buy expencive tires at least this year.
or i just buy some steel 16 rims for some 15-20 euros for one thats sounds cheap with cheap tires would cost less then just more expencive tires for 17 rim. because bfg or any other famous AT tire does cost here 100-120 no cheaper. lucky people in US with their cheap tire prices, not so much here.
and the more i look at those cordiant tires more i think they just look cool and they all ready mud tires not even AT.
then again if im not having some new friends or going to other clubs like 4x4 guys and go wride with them to some bad places , im alone wont do nothing hard off road anyway, i can say my KO2 tires where mostly for nothing used mostly on asphalt and some light forest roads that where nowhere like good used. i know now there wont be many more trips that this local forester club will do , so i need to find some other people if i want to test my car more properly more hard . if not i can just drive all year with those winter tires until they ends. and not spend money on this part at all. but i need to make work this touching thing with tires i have. i wonder can i ask someone so they could make my spacers 20mm from 25mm like put them in machine and just cut some from them and leave them smaller. i mean grind off some of that aluminum. maybe it cant be done or not safe though, just thinking can i modify my spacers into smaller ones.

I love those cross axle pics , would you consider trimming the arches more and fitting higher wider grp arches ,I cant help it would give you better axel articulation.

I kinda dont want to trim much there as i could fix it with smaller wheel spacer maybe simplier way ,if i will change tires and rims i could then see what tire would be better there like narrower one.
If i would go for cordiant off road tire there not many options on 16 size there 215/65r16 or 205/70r16 so last one would be larger and it would be much narrower too at 205 from 225. And smaller tire then what i have now would save me all the rubbing when turning and braking too as i still dont wanna cut all those plastic stuff there in front.

Snow this morning , before going to work thought id do some circle in that empty parking and tires didint even slip once. Thats some good hakapelitas there .i know i would be sliding sideways on ko2 tires , so thats winter tires there , shame it all will be gone till evening because no cold so no use for winter tires still.

what VDC traction control lets you do and how it works with TC off and how use gears when you need momentum . was very slippery hill on mud with fully aired winter tires 2.4 bar in them. so it made all as hard as it can be

Nice video. The VTD rear-axle bias can somehow be seen here. Also, I think that beastly 6-cyl sound made the testing even more delightful!
