What have you done to your car today?

Sorry to hear that OutbackOiler :sadbanana:
Hope it's not as bad as it sounds & can be fixed without too much pain to the hip pocket :o

Put on some track tyres for the WRX, as well as stiffening up the shocks and greasing the roll bar bushes- tomorrow is the first motorkhana of the year for me!

Got home in one piece for Easter. Hell it was a horrible drive, soooo much traffic being Good Friday!
The foz went well over all. Got 8.8l per 100km for the trip, and had to over take about 30 vehicles. Damn I hate it when all the peole wth trailers and boats bunch up on the highway and you have to pass 3-5 of them at once. I was impressed with the Foz'z pulling power though with an empty car.

Have a good easter guys.

Ditto :)

Great to hear that you had a safe trip & made it home safely taza :)

I started mocking up my gauge/control switch panel for the Justy today. I will have 3 gauges(water temp, oil press, voltage), as well as some switches for auxiliary lighting, winches, etc :) Maybe later on down the road the panel will house locker switches:lildevil::monkeydance:

Sorry to have to say it, but no one could have had a better day than me today! Took the WRX off road and on to the skidpan. The new quick rack worked really well- a bit too well. The hard compound tyres offered less grip than I am used to, and with the quick rack this thing turns in so quickly you would not believe. In fact, it turned in so quickly I spun on the very first corner of the first course. Then the club;s quickest driver diid exactly the same thing- 3 times! But I was not the least concerned because the rest of the time I was doing the biggest power slides. It goes like this: Launch control- 6000RPM full boost launches. The car is sideways off the line, quick turn of the wheel, handbrake on, clutch in, then hand brake off, clutch out and floor it- sideways out of the corner and down the straight, come on to the next corner, brake, then handbrake on, clutch in, handbrake off, clutch out and slide down the next straight with the tail out- and so on and so on. You just place the car where you want it, it turns in so quickly now, it has heaps of grip and so much control- a real blast. The thing is ballistic and I just love driving it. Who wouldn't?

Oh thats awesome Rally!!! Glad your happy with it, you will have to get some vids next time you are on the skid pans

Mate, i was grinning like a loon. I had both front windows down- it was a very warm day- and I was getting hit in the face by water coming in through the passenger side window. I'm hoping someone might have filmed me- will see in the next few days what gets posted. If there is, I will re-post it here if I can

Some photos have been posted up:

Look at where the wheel marks are in the water to get an idea of the direction each end of the car has come from. I'm running MY00 WRX rims with some cheap rubber on them. The 17's go back on tomorrow.

Rally, that is some serious sideways action! :monkeydance:

Taza, no extra weight in the Foz makes such a huge difference! BTW, since I cleaned my O2 sensor & PCV valve I'm already getting much better economy. Havent done a full tank yet but I should get close to an extra 100kms!

Sounds like you have a good plan. I miss my modding days. Daughter in college changes a lot.

Yeah, I have a pretty decent outline right now, I just need a little bigger shop and some more tools, then I am in business for really making the Justy a beast :)

I have a ways till my daughter is in college, she starts Kindergarten in a few weeks, lol.
