What have you done to your car today?

Where did you get that mirror cover mr turbo?

Not today but recently I've:

- Replaced main battery as the original was now over 3 years old which is the limit of my trust for OEM.
- Replaced the onboard compressor which managed to ingest some water. Oops.
- Finally installed the HID driving lights I've had sitting around for almost a year in place of the halogens I had.
- Replaced the faulty indicators in the front bar with new sealed LED units.

RB, in a bit of a rush but when I get back I'll have another read of your trailer ideas

I once checked out of a Wal-Mart at 10pm with nothing but a roll of gaffer's tape, folding shovel, balaclava, and 12-gauge shotgun shells to see what the person on the register would do. She didn't even bat an eyelid. Strangely enough, these were all items I actually needed for one reason or another - it was just one of those things where I realised what it would look like, so decided to have some fun with them

Hahahaha :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My question is though...how did you pay for them? Credit card?
I wonder what time of the night you'll get a knock on the door from very serious looking men wearing black suits :raspberry::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As usual, yes

I was sort of wondering about that as well at the time; hasn't happened yet in the six years or so since I pulled that little stunt... Though the balaclava and folding shovel got immediate use that weekend on an off-roading trip to the snow ;)

I was thinking with some "funny money" perhaps

Thats ok then :)

I got mine from Big W :) but I'm sure you should be able to pic them up from places like K Mart or the $2 shops also :iconwink:

Regards

Checked gap in my spark plugs. Only did one plug as it was nearing dark. It was 1.3mm and the owners manual says 1.0-1.1mm. So that could be part of my issue.
Will do the other 3 soon.

Spark plugs are the biggest dobbers there are. Take note of what they are telling you

Well, you've seen the plug- albeit only one- and it's condition and appearance might tell it's own story. The gap does not help. Nor does the unknown condition of the plug leads. The general condition of the engine is obviously a key factor as well.

Set your gaps and give them a good clean then give them a decent run. Then pull them and read them against a chart. Google will find you a bunch of them.

And if you're lucky enough to have a haynes manual there's a chart inside the rear cover ;)

Cheers

Bennie

Yep got a haynes manual.

I did put the one up against it, it was oily and in the book said that he dried oil is due to internal leaks. So again my valve stem seals/guide...

Would the best way to clean them is give them a rub with some light sand paper?

If the edges of the electrodes are rounded off the plug has had it- but a bit of sand paper will help.

Do you have a points file? They are a miniature file & only cost a few bucks.
Sandpaper might round off the centre electrode.

I don't think the gap will be helping much...didnt you replace them recently?

I transfered my rego (what a mission), fitted a crossbred sumpguard (minor modification necisary), burned my hand on the exhaust, bought a mallet, tie downs, cable ties, fire extinguisher, 100 mph tape and any thing else I thought might be useful from bunnings and won a subaxtreme bullbar for $299 from eBay. Now to fit the engle and baby and 1st leg Sydney to Melbourne starting at 3am.

A good day in my book.

Sounds good :iconwink: . All except for the burnt hand part ... :(.
Was that a Crossbred or SubaXtreme sump guard?

Give me a tingle when you get here.

Have a safe trip, you pair.

Thanks guys, just boosting the engle down as far as it'll go on 240v.

Crossbred sump guard and picked up the diff guard also - very nice looking. Not fitted yet.

Just realised I didn't have spotlights and on further inspection realised I don't have a seven speaker stereo. Not impressed. The dealer had confirmed verbally that it had the seven speakers. I wonder where I stand in regards to my rights here.

You do realise that two of them are cunningly disguised as part of the trim on the inside of the front wing mirror housing?

Then two in the lower part of the front doors.
Another two in the lower part of the rear doors.
Bass speaker in the cargo area.

I couldn't find all of mine for a day or so ... :rotfl:.
