Sounds like the 'blow up' was a 'blessing in disguise'!
200002 MILE! That is impressive! I have a 'thing' for palendromic numbers - just wait 'till you get to 800008!![]()
This particular gearbox is slightly different, as the gearing has been specially treated & strengthenedAswell as that, it's sliding hubs have been modified for easier gear changing at lower speeds (great for 4wding) & better 5th gear selection & improved 5th gear synchro.
Can't wait for Friday & to have my Forry back![]()
I think so mate, but I have to say that it did come at a price though (total bill for all parts & labour)Sounds like the 'blow up' was a 'blessing in disguise'!
Time will tell I guess. This sounds like it's going to be a great new gearbox!!!As Barry said, perhaps a 'blessing in disguise'. I'm sure it's not going to be cheap, but it may very well be worth the $$$.
Thanks simxsHope your new gearbox and clutch work out Damian.
It sure is  I haven't missed a trip there in 6 years & I wasn't going to let a little thing like a busted gearbox get in my way :lol:Great you will be on the road for Abercrombie Damian !!!
It's a NSW Subi Recreation members club trip. What's the story with this trip? Who's going?
Hi Simon,
... the front one is an AFM sensor ...
He then said that a number of people had used after market ones only to find that the aftermarket ones don't work or don't work properly.
OK, I'm guessing that I'm not the only tech illiterate who hasn't a clue what 'AFM' means / what the sensor does.
AFM is Air Fuel Meter
