What have you done to your car today?

There are good reasons why concrete / cement comes in 40 bags to the tonne these days, instead of 20 bags to the tonne for most of my life ...

Too many people my age have rooted backs from carrying these sorts of things.

Car has been doing double duty as my daily driver and substitue for a tractor pulling out trees on my property. So while not done to the car, it got a rest since I bought a tractor (with zero safety equipment since it's probably older than Ratbag)

Just to get things back on track, have today put a 50 per cent deposit down on a rebuilt 5-speed box with modified low range, uprated coupling and LSD, etc. It's taken 180,000km but am now double de-clutching into third and fourth on account of worn synchro. Not the easiest decision to stick with the old car instead of upgrading to a newer model with neck saving devices like a reversing camera, etc, but a relief to have finally decided.

Installed on board air compressor under the front passenger seat.

Do you do the same on your forester roll it on its side to change the oil
I used to do this with all my Subarus - roll them onto the roof, actually.

A few years ago, I discovered that they have this thing called a "sump plug". You do have to put a new gasket on it though, every oil change. This gets expensive when changing the oil every 20,000 kms or so ... ;) .

To change the oil :p

(actually I was avoiding an obstacle on the track and drove onto what looked like solid ground; it wasn't)

Rotated all 6 wheels. Can still do it!!!!! Yay !!
Note to self: always remember to check that valve in wheel well spare is tightly screwed in prior to reinflating..........
Still haven`t washed it though.

So: 4 wheels on the car; the spare and the steering wheel = 6? :p
No need to wash cars here; just park outside and provided it doesn't get washed away then it will be very clean!
