What have you done to your car today?

Replaced the serpentine (drive belt). That was so much easier than i expected. I thought i would be fiddling around for a while getting it all lined up.

Was sort of expecting the belt to come flying off when i cranked the engine.

Record low fuel consumption, 7.56 l/100 km !

Half of the travel (Geneva to Bern) on the highway at 100-110 km/h with air conditioning on, the other half on backcountry roads (Bern to Luzern via the Emmental) and back.

New front endlinks installed at last - blew out the OEM ones very soon after installing 2" lift. Yes, I do want them. They make a BIG difference to highway driving.

Paid the rego (due six weeks ago) and took the Brum3y for a drive. Love it, even though it’s quite gutless with its car issue I can’t be bother fixing - it’s a can of worms I don’t want to open!

Thursday is looking like a top glass out and windows down (with mask on :ROFLMAO:) type of day (25 degrees!) :p

Cheers

Bennie

type of day (25 degrees!)
In the middle of the day? Brrr!
(mind you, I've normally got the air con on, 25 degrees in the middle of the day is probably quite pleasant!)

Timing belt and water pump, then trimmed the rear quarter panels a bit. Car was barkin the tires over bumps on a smooth paved road haha.

Finally up and running! Stock stereo is horrible, powered amp is not working..gotta figure that out...just ordered install kit. Now I am planning what I need to lift it!

40,000 Km Service - 15 months old.
A mate of mine put 20,000km on his new Mux that’s just on 12 months old, metro lockdowns and all! I don’t know how he did it!

In other news, took Redback out for a drive:

^East tk, Mt Kooyoora Conservation Reserve.

“Thong Tree” near Kingower on the Kingower Arnold rd. I did a bike ride around this area in uni back in 2006 as part of a celebration ride for the creation of the series of box-iron bark parks, called the “Yirrip” ride. Took me a few years to stumble across this tree again. Good to see it’s still there:

Subarino supplied me with a set of new exhaust gaskets for the brumby. MINT! Now I don’t sound like a lawn mower and I no longer scare ppl that are dining outside food venues! It’s sooo good and I’m kicking myself for not doing it earlier, it’s one of THOSE fixes! Wish it was done before the drive above (three days after!).

Cheers

Bennie

I got to drive mine last week - but just once :D
What's 's the situation now? Are you able to drive around?
I had plans for more trails this winter break here but we got heavy rain last Friday, finally, and that put a brake on things as the desert can be treacherous after heavy rain.

@MiddleAgeSubie Yes we can drive around but have to be careful where we go due to Omicron and the testing queues here are going absolutely crazy! There are state border restrictions in place and Western Australia is closed - I imagine they will secede soon!
