What have you done to your car today?

Wow air suspension that would be cool to modify some for offroad maybe.

OEM air suspension limits wheel travel when on "high" and I already have my own system....but if you want them....!

never had them so i would like to try sure, why noone ise them for offroad they not lifting so much maybe ... hmm ..even newer legacys wagons in uk had those like in models 2000 -2002 same look as my outback 2001 my cousin had one with air and hated it when one side wasnt raising up haha.

My car has needed some TLC for quite some time now and I just cannot find the time to do most of the work so based on some recommendations from other Subie Club members I dropped it off at Stewart Follows Automotive last week and picked it up today:
200K kilometre service incl timing belt, tensioners, water pump, thermostat, pulleys, drive belts, spark plugs, fuel filter, all fluids changed / flushed (incl steering & brakes), alternator overhauled, RH rocker gasket replaced, RH inner CV boot replaced, Air Conditioning serviced / re-gassed, wheel balance and alignment.

It's been 10 years since any major servicing and I'm looking forward to driving it a bit more now. I was a little concerned about leaving the OEM timing belt this long but it was in excellent condition - it's done only approx 50K over those 10 years.

Nice. That's a decent list of maintenance tasks. I can imagine the vehicle purring sweetly now!

Indeed - I feel the run home was much smoother than the run there last week! May have just been the empty wallet! :)

Took me 4 hours to take the EJ22 out of the Legacy. But why have I done that ? I already have a bulletproof EJ22 in my Forester.....I must be mad !

i find myself then when its nothing to do on car or modify for different reasons , then i'm kinda bored. but i dont wanna cut and change this car so much as i did with 2001, though not sure what else i could do on it then . i never thought i will like to have car for something to do on it like project. But now i see that i do need it or at least likes it. in ideal world i would buy some old 4x4 and mae that for some project, but dont have space to keep it nor garage nor normal yard, and to keep 2 cars not so cheap too.
but there is still bad bushings in rear links in this car , then LPG injector at least one need to be changed as im getting allways cilinder missfire for it and with that TC turning off and Cruise turning off. then i start hearing loud humm in front so tires or front bearings. dont know yet wich of those.

Sometimes, the thrill is with the modification and when there's nothing much to modify anymore, it can be boring. We used to do lots of mods with our on-road cars before. Now we just focus on maintenance and the adventures.

yh i still want to test this car more but i guess winter tires wont do the job anymore in spring or summer , so i would need some more agressive tires for that , and not sure how this virus will go , camping could still be done , you go alone with your car, you dont mneet other people or dont meet them , so its kinda safe to do camping well looks like much better do that then be in city :/
i do my petrol station payments on adroid app now and visit food shops mostly just before it closes when its not much people or in middle day . want to keep safe myself and people around me
was good day , put my roof rack on my 2005 and it works fine looks great too. not much wind noise, as before it can be used as just base part or with sides bolt on

i dont think rails are removable, if we think of same think as roof rails, but roof rack is made simple to put there , much better then i did on 2001

ohh no those as i called sides removable yes. so i can just use that base pad , or put sides too with red ones. they on bolts 6x40 size. 3 on each side and 2 on front and rear.
i thought from start that i want to make like different stages on it. so basket is one but can be i duno something else, even like roof tent put on it, box maybe or anything else. or just basket as now where i could put spear wheel, hi lift jack, box maybe for tools , water canister, petrol canister, anything else.

That's really handy. There's so much that can be done when one does his own fabrication. I guess I need to learn such skill, as well. It's a skill that can be used in the armageddon/zombie apocalypse.

Our country now going to quarantine, so they say dont walk on streets dont go to shops, so its kinda good time to go with your car localy travel then go where no people
