Its a bit of both, seems to stay up the top of the gaurd more than Troys but extends more, the sales person couldnt believe how well it was going to fit. Saying that it will require ducting to the airbox inside the guard. The shape is the win mind you

Looks like it will be a good fit. It also allows you to change the head of the snorkel around if needed for dusty roads.

On green plates there are limits to the number of passengers - only one at night I think. Also zero alcohol and speed limited to 90 kph (just over 55mph).
Some of this varies from state to state.

Correct.

Except in NSW it's Red P Plates first for a year, then Green P Plates for 2 years after that. So on Green P's I can now do 100km/h (just over 60mph), no limits on passengers, Still no blood alcohol (I have no problem with this one) and other things like I can use Bluetooth or handsfree on my phone, and can tow.

230k km, 5 Pirelli P7 tyres (i.e. including my spare on matching rim) fitted and balanced. Remarkably quiet compared to my old Turanzas, which were almost down to the depth indicators. (Couldn't complain about the Turanzas though.) $169 each for the Pirelli's from my local private dealer, includes free rotation every 10,000 km. (3 1/2 months.)

Where did you fit the UHF radio?

Removed the 'stuff' pocket and cover between the centre airvents in the dash, to fit my UHF CB.
Purchased aluminium strap to make mounting bracket.

The radio is under the passengers seat. Its a GME TX3440 which has all the controlls on the mic.

I started both Foresters, reversed them out of the garage, swept the garage and drove them back inside. Not an exctitng day at all.


Now I really need to get serious and get the '05 Off road.
