the wieght of a new commodore ute is 1700kgs the wieght of the 06 xt with the 155kw is 1500kgs so it would be about the same power to wieght ratio
 
Easy. I pulled 3 car lengths on my brother by about 70 or 80. His was an auto though. The 5 litre ones were even easier. We murder them on the skidpan, and at places like Wakefield Park I doubt you would get a near stock SS getting into the 69 seconds bracket on street tyres. Only on the long straights do they have the advantage. But they handle like a barge, they are hard on brakes and tyres. Their forte is long distance cruising, where they are better than a small car.
