Good work Aaron, your Outback is coming along nicely :)

Have you wired them up to your highbeams or are you running a separate switch?

Time to hit Stockton! :lildevil:
Yeah i was meant to be going this weekend but with the weather i'm giving it a miss, i wanna go pretty soon but, is getting to the tin city and ship wreck from Anna Bay entrance hard?

They look fantastic wombat :raz:

Great to hear that you were able to get them to fit :)

Regards
Mr Turbo
Cheers, nothing a file and elbow grease won't fix, except for maybe gravel rash...

Nah its not hard, its just long. Your biggest challenge will be engine temp as you'll be traveling with the flow of wind, so your car won't be sucking in much air at all. Also be careful of the ponds as they'll be full due to the rain.

Lavis Lane entry is easy. Its within 10kms of all major landmarks (shipwreck, tank traps & Tin City).

I'm keen to head down as well but this weather is s**t.

O yeah, ive been down my local beach a few times, its 12kms long and when the sand is soft the engine is working hard to keep from getting stuck, seen the temp guage climb up to 3/4 a few times and started to stress..
Very nice...close fit haha :monkeydance:

BUT... I just realised, your mods are hiding the "H6 3.0" insignia :shake:
Yeah they are, o well its still on the back and inside:P
Finally got some decent sunshine back again so i went for another run on the beach yesterday:

Great pic mate, maybe some smaller spotties would of helped with air flow :raspberry:

It looks like the rear is sagging abit or is it just the pic?

Couldn't help but notice the leg in the picture too

Haha it was creeping up in temperature before the spotties were there too i was working the car hard through the sand though, yeh thats my ladies leg, if you look closely you will see the front wheel arch is higher then the back, it looks saggy because of it, the car sits level though.

I know what you mean bout looking like its sagging in the back, mine does that too even though its only a bit it looks bad...soon to be fixed though :)

I reckon a fan switch would be good. 1st Position auto, 2nd pos always on (for beach work), 3rd pos always off with warning buzzer/light (for water crossings)

My OB now has raised springs and 2" blocks and identical tires. I swear the back is sagging i havent done actuall measurements but yeah it looks like the back is lower a bit. Could just be as you said it just looks lower.

How bad were your tires rubbing? Mine i had to cut a small bit off the bumper skirting on the front side of the rear wheel arches. Also on full lock they rub on the inside of the arch like crazy, its really annoying me actually its so loud.

Great pic wombat
And I would also agree with what Nachaluva says :iconwink: I'm sure a 3 way fan switch would make the world of difference :)

Regards
Mr Turbo

Re 'sagging', check the original specifications - are both wheel arches supposed to have the same distances above ground surface / wheel centre?

Wambat's rear is slightly lower than the front as the multilink suspension won't travel anymore. Zero articulation  Still worth it for the amount of clearance he has :iconwink:
I think the front could still go more but im keen to see how long his CV's last at that angle.

The only problem with putting it back to stock is the tyres are too big for the car when its not lifted, they rub going over potholes and stuff on the road bad, and i don't wanna fork out money for smaller tyres again, i could put the OEM bar back on and sell it lifted though, how much are you offering for the bar? I paid $1900 for it only like 2 months ago...and will have to pay for removal of the bar again.

Good luck with the sale Aaron. She's a nice car and well done up.

But I agree, I think it'd be infinitely easier to sell stock. I've got the original wheels and tyres with good tread if you're interested....

How much do you want for them? Also how much tread is on them?

Just had a quick look at them. Pretty decent tread depth!

I could sell them to you for $450. Let me know if you're interested and I can take some pics for you and measurements of tread depth.

I still have stock rim and tyres (215/60r16), maybe we can swap. As for the bull bar, how much did you pay for installing?

I would say try and sell uit modified first mate. Advertise it on ebay too and ask a few grand more. Then if she doesn't go put her back to stock

Good luck with it all. Doesn't the Outback serve your needs offroad?
