german shorthaired pointer, best dog i've ever owned, barks once a month, doesn't drool, very smart, great with kids

lab X retriever about 7-8yrs old in this photo taken about a yr ago, all wet after a swim in the dam. his name MR. and obviously male with that name ;)

Were pretty sure our pups dad was a Corgi with a Lab mother. "Ambitious" father some have said.:lol:

Hey Mr. T - i've noticed them getting quite popular over here so i figured i would ask for down there. Have you seen people running around with Mini Australian Shepherds? Seen several up here and back home in TX, although never hear anything else about them. They are some pretty little dogs!
 
I can't say that I've ever seen one. All truth be said, I didn't even know that Miniature Australian Shepherds existed :o
I do know of the Australian Shepherd, just not the miniature. And yes they are a beautiful breed of dog.

We do have one breed that is kind of close I suppose, which is called a Shetland Sheepdog (Miniature Collie aka Lassie)
I actually had one when I was a teenager, she was a fantastic dog :raz:

Yeah, she's a neat looking dog. We think part Catahoula and part.. ? Terrier? Hard to say, she's a small dog, and has short, wiry hair.

Super fast, we had her out in the local soccer field late at night, she whips around like a nutter!
 
With a heavy heart & many a tear thats flowing I'm typing something I wish I never had to :cry:

As some of you would know, my puppy Springer hasn't been at her best.

Well earlier today it was time. Time for her & me (together with her best mate Jerry) to say our goodbyes :cry::cry:

And all I can say is that it was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do.
I'm just so glad I was there, with her & holding her, right till the end.

She was def a beauty by her pic & i can only imagine how rough it must have been for you. I know you must miss her greatly, but atleast you can take some comfort in knowing she is at peace.. More than a mans best friend for sure.
