Zak (Rob & Robyn) has withdrawn. Rob has to work.

i'll be leaving Bondi at 6.00am if anyone wants to meet along the way.
also is anyone taking a fishing rod? looks like there's a spot not far from camp. could have trout for dinner.:iconwink::biggrin:

I considered it but the fact that I have no idea where my gear is coupled with the fact that I've never managed to catch anything in fresh water convinced me not to bother so I've gone with snags (another thing that always happens when I go fishing LOL).

^ and - there's probably no water anyway

BTW - Alex & sons from the Subie Club will join us. Alex has an L Series (needs a clutch) and a Patrol.

Its designated Trout water (Apparently) so is closed till October long weekend...

Remember as far as I know (So far) we will come in the other way so dont wait for us... Got everyones number so will bulk text on the way before descending :)

Cant wait, awesome.

Noted paffoh. Don't know what mobile coverage will be like in the park but I'm sure you'll find us.

Thanks for the intro Kevin... Yes, I'll be there with my 4 and 5 year old boys in the Patrol (wish I'd bought the new clutch kit for the L-series by now). Anyone else bringing kids along?

As for cooking food... I'm looking at buying a new bbq since my canister type ones are hopeless at anything under 10 degrees C... otherwise are we sharing cooking supplies? I'll pick up some timber on my way past work tomorrow... there's so much dead and dry stuff around thanks to this strong wind lately.

Alex

Welcome Alex.

Since we decided to self cater rather than do a couple of roasts plus the fact I'm not sure what the fire conditions might be I was going to bring my little 2 burner gas stove. I've never actually used it so hopefully it works. Only have a 1.5kg (or is it 2kg?) gas bottle so not sure how long it'll last but people are welcome to use it. Just make sure I have enough gas left for my bacon and eggs in the morning LOL.

If anyone has a larger gas BBQ and doesn't mind bringing it, it may not be a bad idea. Better to have it and not need it etc.

should be a top week-end, so enjoy.........
I wish I could, but can't cuz the OBW is sitting without its engine, and tonight found another seal that needs to be replaced, ....so it won't be sitting in its home till the week-end....if i get the seal...one of those 1/2 moon ones at the back of the engine/rocker cover.

Please keep a note of how difficult or hard the route in Abercrombie is for a subaru (unlifted).
I've driven past a few times, really should go there one day.......

While I'm hoping for fine weather I think we may see a few showers late Sat and temps may be down a bit so best bring clothing to cover all seasons.

See you all in the morning :)

Change of plans for us,

Looks like we will attempt to meet you all at 9:30am at Apex park, much better way of being social and meeting others than flogging along blindly. Have everyones numbers so will message if things change in the morning.

Derek

OK no worries.I've swapped my wheels over and am gathering everything up now. Will check the forum once more at 10pm in case of any late changes.

Thanks Carl - I'm all packed! Will be departing @ 7am from the Hills District and heading up Bells.
