NSW Sep camp?

Looks good to me. Any objections?

How many cars are we expecting from from the Subaru Club?

a few so far; Mr Turbo, TroyXt, Zak (troopy), me. Our Pres is coming.

My names down for this one, will be good to catch up with a few of you. Leaving the Mrs at home too.

Hang on - I thought Mrs Pres was coming? She asked to be registered on the club site? (or was that you logged on as her)

Bring a bag of wood pls folks.
That is something thats a little too easy for me. :p
The wind we had last w-end caused our next door neighbour's tree to fall into our front yard. :sadbanana:
Luckily it missed my Forry  but not by much though.

Ok, im in (With a guide even).

My mate Oliver is keen (Even keener to travel in the Foz) so we will leave early, early Saturday morning and head to Tuena and go in that way. As mentioned he went there with the Land Rover club a few weeks ago and went in this way, past the beach to Silent creek. Pretty sure you guys going in a different way but he mentioned water crossing with scattered boulders at Retreat River? (Name might be wrong). Sounds good guys, we can only go a day trip so hi then bye (Will have the UHF on designated channel setting - Advise)

Sounds like fun!

Terrific! Channel 15 is the norm unless we get interference so check on 16 & 17 if you can't raise us.

I just edited the first post with the confirmed details so far:

Date: 26th Sep 2009
Meeting point: Apex Park, Carrington Ave Oberon
Meeting time: 9.30am
UHF ch: 15

Think we have 7 cars so far unless I've missed someone.

Less than 2 weeks to go. What are the food plans? I'll have to pull the gear out this weekend and check it over. Haven't been car camping for a while.

I can't wait  Bring it on I say  :discomonkey:

As for the food plans, I was going to fend for myself, but I'm open for any suggestions anyone has. :)

BYO it is then. Looking forward to this.

One question though given several of you have been before. If we get a lot of rain leading up to it or forecast for the weekend and given the apparent steepness of sections, is it still a go? Especially for anyone that might be on HT tyres?

The forecast so far is fine - if it gets wet the HT tyres will be great for sliding down the hills!

Not sure - as I recall I think there are alternatives to the steep stuff. Foresterman (Subaru Club) knows this area the best of all so perhaps he can comment.

I'm thinking of hatching a plan to attend, just need to know the answers to these questions then sort out some funds...

Well, I'm sorry to say that its not going to happen this time... I need lift, tyres and some more money - I'm headed to the US in november so will be keeping trips to a minimum budget.

Hope you all have a great time - looks like its coming together well!

Cheers

Bennie

Who doesn't need more money (unless you're a big over worked CEO. Poor buggers, having to earn milliions)?

Another time perhaps. I still have an idea for a 2 or 3 day trip further south, near the border. Should be easier for VIC people to make.

Just over a week to go :)

^ Yeah, looking forward to it. I've just had to pull out of this weekends club trip to Yalwal as I have not been well, so will be itching to go the following weekend!

Where all are you going to be???

Not sure exactly where we're headed but I do know that we'll be in vegas for a little bit and will be headed to San Fransicisco (spelling?)...

End hijack.

Cheers

Bennie

Hi Everyone,

I'm still keen to do this. I have not had internet access for a while. Just to confirm- it is an overnighter- correct? If so, I can bring my ovens, chainsaw, etc. Is the campsite going to be a base point that we come back to, and is it 2WD accessible? I have a lot of e-mails and posts I am trying to catch up on. Moving house is greatly over rated.

Also, I lost my mobile phone with people's numbers on it. Damo, Eden, Simex, Dicknose and Apsilon could you please PM me your numbers again?

Yes mate it is an overnighter. :)

Camp is enroute, i.e. we don't return to it.
As for the campsite, no, it's not 2wd accessible.

I still have that seat reserved for you Rally, & heaps of room for any gear you need/want bring aswell (tent, swag, ovens, chainsaw, etc)

Rally PM also sent :iconwink:
