examples for myself how lift would look with my rims and how bumper cut would look
xKiztQ7.jpg

so normal steps for me do lift at least as much as in that pic, and then maybe cut bumper

car how its sits now, how +5cm would look and then +7cm wheel is in the air
would need bigger tires for better look there.

checked front arches for rust and how it looks, and put some bitumen spray over there , and then put back that plastic cover back

front grill plasti dipped to black

how it looks in dark with some lights

funny thing how people say ohh lift changes steering and car stability,
Subarus get away with it because they start with such a low centre of gravity I believe.

hi lift jack brake . welded . work again . and little engine are removal and then putting all back... now i know how that works and would be much faster next time. because i will need to remove engine to do valve adjustment job. just dont have tools for now to remove engine

was driving that again after like 5 hrs put all back .. i removed exhaust too there , and cooland with engine oil. so put all back in dark and at 24:00 i was at home .. with car.

Are you going full-on with that valve job?

Are you going full-on with that valve job?
Not sure yet if i could lift engine out i would why not. Still looking for better place to do it.

Theoretically, you don't need to get the engine out to get the heads off. (Surely you'd need to take the heads off to do the valves..)
Well.. on the SG Forester anyway, I presume most Subaru's would be the same.
I wouldn't recommend it though, PITA and pulling the entire engine allows you to clean everything a lot more easily. :)

not heads just valve covers, and then measure gaps.. write all down and see where is bad gaps... then get to valve buckets..
then i can order those buckets localy from guys who does those jobs .
thing is i would remove valve covers allready when i stripped all that other day , but one of bolts got damaged from bad tool and after i couldnt unscrew it anymore. and as engine in place there is just not enough space now to work on that bad bolt... so cant remove anymore valve covers even when i lifted engine just little to one side . so now all getting just worse..
add to that my last year problem with gearbox came out again. im getting now again gearbox solenoid D electrical error . car drives bad from start until ir gets to some speed. so as weather got warmeer and warmer i guess because of that that problem appeared again .. so pervious oil change didint helped there.. just my luck...

so engine valves (or whatever else gives cyl 2,4 large detonation)
stearing column leaks
need new catalysts
gearbox solenoid error.

can it get worse ? i think it can from my luck now with this car
need to fix it in 2 weeks now or i cant then go and pass MOT and couldnt drive car anymore then until i fix all those probs on car.
on some days i dont even want to fix it rly .. its like got to ridicilous state now ... sure all fixiable with money ... thats easy to do and like could be done in week or so.

at least some good stuff can be done fast and with good result and for cheap... i mean why would you buy new idlers one of those is belt tensioner too and very expencive, and 2 bearings where like 6 euros

When you bought strut from other side and you noticed that too late ... just cut those brackets if you have old shock and cut sane way your new old strut and weld them on.. and alignment bolts will go in from oposite side now... but nothing else there is diff.

so bumper cut ... what if you want to put it back ..well and make it lower .. i could raised that lower part even higher..

from stock beauty to +7cm beast in 5 hrs on street in rain too haha
though beauty for me is bottom one

Cleaned that solenoid D . Will test and see how it will act now and for how long

Cleaning solenoid didnt helped . It drove 15km until solenoid error comes up again
And just drank fuel like crazy in those 15km.weird

and i guess its nice thing to gather info before buying car about how much parts could cost , even main things like engine and gearbox. like ez30 180kw cost like 1200-2000 , ez30 154kw only about 500 , and those 2.0 2.5 engines goes like 150-300 for engine so when prices goes 10x its funny thing to think of it. used ones sure but working.
same for gearboxes... maybe i dont need it but still... like i can buy old forester with some rust for like 600-800 and just to check ez30 engine valves cost same . so its like hmmm do i check valves or buy old impreza/forester/legacy haha
i mean i can buy another subaru and then try to remove engine and repair it myself or then take engine to someone to fix it , i will need car to carry engine so old subaru might fit that role lol.
now i really think engine has problem for sure and gearbox at least one solenoid ... if its just that not sure anymore with my luck

And after that solenoid cleaning and mud tires on again im getting now just unreal fuel usage from main screen . What could cause that im driving in idle on 1st gear slowly and it shows max fuel cons .that cant be

at least did ant rattle method there. tried drill hole and then welded bolt there . works great, treid with 2 bycicle drive on some bad gravel type road lots swings from side to side and that rear platform moves much less now

Long time i went to this..at last.. leaking steering rack changed to good one used.
Notin too hard just remove exhaust first part, tie steering wheel to seat so it wont run away and its all good

new catalysts. needed to make my own o2 sensor sockets. practicing on my mig welding again. seems like fine for me at least
