Anything that has a good drum beat and/or good guitar solo.

The main groups that I like are
AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Gun's 'N' Roses, Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes & Red Hot Chilli Peppers to start with.

But depending on what type of mood I'm in it could be something like Avril Lavigne or Pink.

Oh yes!!!
love my Iron Maiden (got Flight 666 on blu-ray and went to both Sydney shows) and Megadeth (new album out in a couple of months). Plus old Metallica (not Load/Reload)
Add to the above
more old metal - Judas Priest, Sabbath
newer metal - Iced Earth
slighly more obscure stuff - Danzig, Apocalyptica

plus some 80s rock like
Billy Idol, U2, Midnight Oil

Dont think anything else gets on rotation much these days...

Quick look on itunes
Iron Maiden (including Bruce solo) - 310 songs, 1.1 days
Megadeth - 229 songs, 17.2 hours
Metallica - 217 songs, 20.7 hours

Went to the Saturday Sydney Maiden show, still aint got Flight 666 yet.

Have to agree, stopped listening to Metallica from 'Black' onwards, the new 'Death Magnetic' is strangely good though. Never liked Gunners either but 'Chinese Deomcracy' aint as bad as I thought. Grew up listening to Ramones and early Anthrax, only really rated others lightly.

Man a good old ORS shindig would be awesome with a pumpin amp!

Anyone got a decent soundsystem installed?

I pretty much have an appreciation for all music :), but I certainly have some faves...

Janes Addiction (first incarnation) IMO the greatest modern Rock & Roll band.
Metallica, new and old, my favorite album being S&M, them playing live with the San Francisco symphony orchestra.
Beastie Boys:monkeydance:
Primus, I have seen them probably 30 times as they were new and up and coming while I was living in San Francisco.

Way back in the '80's I was a good 'ol Punk Rocker, yes, yours truly had a mowhawk, was a skater, and in the mosh pit...

Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Youth Brigade, JFA (Jody Fosters Army), The Faction...

...during that time I was also into a lot of 'gothic' stuff, but that was really before anyone was using the term 'gothic', we were 'death rockers'...

The Damned, 45 Grave, Bauhaus, Alien Sex Fiend, Fields of the Nephilim, Lords of the New Church...

Can't forget the Classics;

The Who (I almost went to that show in Cincinnati where 11(?) people got trampled to death, saw them later that tour in Lexington KY), The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, Blondie, Beatles...

The list could go on forever, I also love Classical, and especially since moving to NC some Country, Bluegrass, I've even been known to listen to a little Disco every now and again.:discomonkey::redface:

The Damned & Bauhaus

:discomonkey::redface:

M8 I'm with ya on that ^^ rock
along with susie and the banshees & Virgin Prunes
+ I remember when we were called punks, then swampies, then death rockers, then goths & now emos
& yup I've been know to sport tripple & twin blades also had the flock of seagull hair style @ 1 stage

I have a really cool boxed set of Virgin Prunes 10" vinyl singles. Who could forget Siouxsie :iconwink: and also The Sisters of Mercy? T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty) is another favorite.

^^^Awesome pics guys!!!

More music that I didn't think of, Rock/Shockabilly The Cramps (Lux R.I.P), Reverend Horton Heat, Tex and the Horseheads, Buck Naked and the Bare Bottom Boys (not a very well known San Francisco band that could/would have gotten big had Mr. Naked not gotten shot over his dog chasing a pigeon:madred:)

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned a great Australian band called "The Angels"
Who would have to be best remembered for an unforgettable line in one of their songs. I think we all know what the line is. :)
