What have you done to your car today?

OMG, took less than a full day (Sans K & N ), the result is.... OMG OMG OMG LOL FULLY SIK!

For a 2.5 N/A, its going to freak people out.

PS - If it makes me sound like a loser then fair enough, least the car is raised not lowered. The garage couldnt get over my bars though, very impressed. Took the video, had the camerain the wrong place wich dosent do it justice, still nice and beefy though.

Paffoh - that is a really neat sound! From your list I'm guessing you've got the equal length headers and still get the subi rumble?! I hope I can get my L to sound like that when I get the exhaust done after some lift (with the EJ22 :D). If you don't mind sharing, how much did it set you back? Sorry, but "loser"?! The only loser will be those that spin around looking for the "fully sik" WRX!!

For my L today, I rewired the trailer plug after finding out I had crossed some wires - now I have tail lights :raz: I also put the gearbox casing (for the EJ conversion) in a degreaser bath so they'll be ready for a high pressure wash tomorrow - and hopefully they'll come up shiny clean for the rebuild...

I also changed a tyre today (yeah, I know, super exciting stuff!) after it went flat and started rumbling along the road - I don't mind, its practically bald anyway...

Cheers

No problem, paid $1750 from Belconnen Exhaust centre.

Its amazing what they did, I asked for Equal length headers not knowing it would lose that subi rumble. Im not sure if they are equal or not, the invoice says something but I cant find it!

He did ring me and ask how loud I wanted it, that video does not do it justice at all. Hopefully we have some sort of super meet soon so you can check it out in person, I havent crawled under the car to check it out.

I have niknamed it 'Big Willie - The sleeper'

I'm used to travelling interstate to meet 'new' subi nuts! I'll be sure to check out what's involved with your exhaust! I'll look forward to it ;)

Wasn't today, but picked my car up from the workshop on wednesday, new maxidrive heavyduty axles fitted.:lildevil:

I've kept the busted axle as a trophy, and it is well and truely busted, will put a pic up soon.

Replaced front O2 sensor. Going better now.

Also had rear lining out to get the tie down points re welded where the rear draws attatch and hinge up. Need to make some block up to take some of the weight off them.

In the past month, I don't think I did much at all to the Outback, though I am considering going out and buying a cheap Forester, swapping over a few parts from the Outback, then put the Outback into storage for a while.

Not today, but checked it again...

Custom design by myself, with permission.

Looks the goods on the car.

not today but yesty I actually washed it
3 weeks of driving around covered in mud

Washed the engine, installed the front Rally Armour flaps, puzzled over the rear set (No original back end, no mounting points), bought Rhino Rack Shovel Holder for roof racks, getting long handled post hole digger tommorow... Also bought some Bushranger Flexi Flare 35mm kits which I will custom fit somehow. Also emailed a few places about installing my lift blocks and uprgrading the shocks to new KYB models....

What brake upgrades can get? Brembo possible?

The rears are pretty easy from what I can remember.
Ahh sorry, I know know what you mean by no original back end now. Not sure how you will do that, maybe fabricate up a metal bracket. I know kevin hung his flaps right at the rear.

Well, after seeing what a great job SubaCool did (in a different thread) with his cleaning under the bonnet, it inspired me to give my Forry a good clean today. :)

Not only did I clean it but I also (wait for it, I hope you're sitting down) polished it & waxed it aswell. :surprised:  :surprised:
Yes it shocked me too
It's actually clean & shiny, for the first time in I don't know how long.

I can't see it staying that way for very long though. :raspberry:

So if it rains in the next few days, you all know who to blame. :eviltoyou:

Still have the old rear end with the rear flaps still on them, the flap itself looks to be mounted on the peice they removed, if I can custom cut that bit to match inner shaping and rebolt that on somehow then bingo, sorted.

Bracket sounds good too but think its a bit tricker as the outside mounting part would have to be drilled into the new bars edge (Yucky, dont want to do that).

Stanley Knife, white marker and some luck... If I take Kevins approach then I will have to cut the flaps, at $130 US a set thats something I dont want to do (Looks good though Kevin).

technically i did this yesterday but i took the pics today!

i plastidiped the SUBARU letters on the back of my Foz, wat do you all think?
