What have you done to your car today?

Had to cut the indo surf trip short due to a knee injury, so just picked the Landy up from my mate's place.

Looks like I'm just in time to maybe make the trip up to the Wattagans on sunday:lildevil:

Serviced the radiator, topped up windscreen fluids, checked oil and other fluid, installed the K&N Hi flow filter, washed and waxed (Sinfull) and finally put on my offroadsubarus.com stickers!!!

Changed the engine oil and air filter. Added some ORS stickers - I can really feel the extra horse power!

I jacked up, removed drivers rear wheel, loosened the strut, removed the strut and replaced the cv shaft as the boots has split and the bushmans fix was about 5,000 kms past its used by date.

Replaced the on board computer as it was stuffed and would kill the engine when driving along. Did not want to pay the over inflated price that Subaru was going to charge me, so did it myself.

Did an oil and filter change, replaced the air filter and changed a busted headlight globe.

Now sitting down with a few cold ones and watching the Rugby.

got my LED strips in the mail, did a test fit tucked to the trim hooked up to the cigar lghter. NOw to work out how to hook them up to the cabin dome light so they come on together when a door is opened

Not to the OB, but I found out on the bmw that tree sap is a formidable opponent. I have no idea how I'm going to get it off my windshield.

Funny that, i put mine through the same bath, several times!

I have mud everywhere, even on the roof, and its a high roof!

Also managed to break a rea axel, not sure how bad yet, haven't pulled it out, but it doesn't sound real good.

Put the car on the hoist, waiting to hear exactly what I've done. Fingers crossed.

If its not too bad, a snorkle will be going on while it's in the workshop.

Again, not to the OB, but I put the BMW up for sale.

Borrowed a pressure washer from my pop for another project, then pressure washed the undersides of YotaRu. She actually seems to be running better now.:)

Blew out my sunroof drain tubes, rain should stay outside now.

Well, the verdict is in....

Managed to smash a real axle, it spilt lengthways!:surprised:

So in goes a set of Maxidrives:lildevil: 50% stronger than standard, should handle the strain of the locker much better. Not cheap though by any means, snorkle will be on the back burner untill tax return comes in.

With any luck I'll be back in the driver seat on saturday.

Considered a trade for my BMW... a 1986 Ford Bronco.
