What have you done to your car today?

Busy weekend! Installed a pioneer DVD head unit with GPS and my hella horns. Also, installed a subwoofer. I'm not finished with the sub yet but it sounds great. :monkeydance:

yep. was up in the victorian high country with some mates. we come to a stop but my mate behind me let hes foot off the clutch and drove into me :rotfl:

all accidental so not pissed off. both insured so should all be ok.

the worse part was there wasnt even a scratch on his bullbar

Sorry to hear & see that thunder039 :sadbanana: not good at all :sadbanana:

The main thing is (& hoping) that nobody was hurt.
Cars can be fixed, people can't.

Mr Turbo

Glad your ok. Doesnt take much to write off a car these days & a '99 Foz isnt worth as much as it used to be not so long ago :(

That's a real bugger, Thunder.

Sorry for you, and for your mate.

The question is not really whether you are insured, but is he?
Running into the back of someone is pretty damning, regardless of cause.

Make sure you list every single improvement you've made to your Foz with values, good luck with your claim. They're never fun :(

aww Thunder, sorry to see your Forester with a crinkly @ss. Here's hoping you're back on the road soon :iconwink:

quick upate. went to the boddy shop toay to get a quote and picture for the insurance company.
he said its almost certain to be a right off.
so photos an quote will be sent of tomorrow.
while it is very much a inconvenience, im also glad. I was planning on selling the car very soon to upgrade, so my mate has sort of done me a faver. now i dont have to worry about the next owner not mistreating her :)

i just hope the insurance company doesnt drag there feet! because i need new wheels :lildevil:

Received box #1 for my suspension rebuild, snafu #1 came with it (I think), one front strut a KYB GR-2, the other a KYB Excel-G.:shake: They are packaged differently and different colors, one silver the other black. E-mail off to KYB to find out if there is any difference.

Geez mate, how hard can it be  :shake::shake:

1+1 = 2 & 2+2 = 4 but then again....... ??????

As they say common sense is not so common after all .............:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Regards
Mr Turbo

Thunder, hopefully you'll come out "smelling like a rose". Good luck.

Carl, that figures. Even the simplest things are hard to get done anymore, especially when you're hoping someone else knows their donkey from a whole in the ground.
I ordered 4 GR-2s but got 4 Excel-Gs, would've been nice to get some explanation! But I'm thinkin' they're the same specs, not 100% sure tho.

Common sense Turbo? HaHa yea don't get me started. CS is an endangered idea in the USA.

Good to see your making the best of a bad situtation thunder, are you claiming through your insurance company or going through your friends? if your going through your friends as a third party and want to keep your salvage rights the the car serve their recoveries/settlements department with a letter of demand. That way you can get a settlement payment, skip the assessors, have to be delt with in 14 days and be able to bargin for a better value pay out, be talking to the person who is actualy authorised to make a payment to you, with the added benifit of keeping the car and all your mods and parts.
