WA crew - End of year get together

Would Stilson, Interceptor and any others be interested in a Yeagarup-D'entrecateaux-Walpole 3 day camp trip.

Also Stilson, I saw a forry that looked just like yours pulling off a dirt track on Waneroo road while I was on my way back from Wedge today.

Yeah mate that would be me, birthday mission with the kids.

And a mate in a Paj... [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v==em"]YouTube[/ame]

Id be keen yep! Issue is im stuck working Monday to Friday so i only have Sat and Sun free. So really it depends where exactly we will go and if i can get a day either side of the weekend off!
Have wanted to do Yeagerup for a while now so that'd be cool!

Yeagarup :woohoo:
I think we'd leave either Friday (21st) afternoon or Saturday (22nd) Morning and then we all need to be back Sunday night because we have work/uni on Monday.

Stilson, Why have you posted a video that apparently does not exist?

And what time will everybody finish work on the Friday?

I don't know, stupid eyephone. My wife finishes work at 6 on Friday so can either pick her up on the way Friday or leave Saturday morning.

Cool! Could maybe go down Friday arvo. I finish work by 5:30pm, roughly a 2hr 2.5hr trip...anyone know any good camp spots out there??

Friday arvo sounds good to me. I'll se if my wife can leave work early. I don't know any camping spots, I rarely go south of the river.

I'm happy to go Friday afternoon.

Here is a map of D'entrecasteaux with all the camps marked

going_to_the_coast_-_d%27entrecasteaux_np.pdf
https://parks.dpaw.wa.gov.au/sites/...s/going_to_the_coast_-_d'entrecasteaux_np.pdf

and I also have a road map showing all the free/cheap camping areas in the country:iconwink: but I haven't been to many places South of the river yet.

I wouldn't mind having a look at black point, there is a good surf spot and a camping area there. My dad says he tried and failed to get his kombi there, so the track should be a decent challenge.:poke: Then after that we could head up into Yeagerup dunes and then into the forests. Actually, there is quite a lot down there that I would like to see.

It's hard to find a time that suits everyone!
Is Sarge still keen on the trip?
And if we went on the weekend after (28-2) would that suit more people?

Hey Guys,

Here in Tas at the moment, have no internet sorry, so haven't been able to jump on till now. Been having fun exploring in an old suzuki vitara!

Anyway, Yeagarup sounds good to me. That weekend (28th) probably suits me better, might be able to get a bit of work in before the trip to pay for it.

@ RedXS - did black point a couple weeks ago... the tracks alright, few challenging hills which are soft, but overall, I found the track pretty boring as it's pretty long and mostly the same stuff. It's good, but I honestly wouldn't do it again unless going for an overnight fishing trip or something.

I've never been but from looking at utube videos it doesn't look too difficult. There's heaps of info about it on the net.

There's a big patch of sand dunes which look like fun and lots of sand tracks on the West end and some rock trails through the forests on the East end.

And there'll be me in a stock forester and t.ridden in a stock L series so don't worry about not being able to keep up with the modified subarus.

Awesome, count me in guys I have low range, pirelli p4s and a sump guard, hopefully I should be alright, should I bring my little hand held cb?

Yeah definitely bring a cb radio, most of us just use little hand helds.

Umm ... not sure yet, our group is spread over quite a large area. So closer to the 28th we'll confirm who's going and probably form a few convoys on the trip down.

I think you said you lived in Armadale, so me, Stilson and Sarge could probably meet you at your place and then further on we'd pick up t.ridden and interceptor.
