Sumo 2 in lift

Nice forrie Hunter, how did you go with the brake lines, CV joints ect? does it need any supporting mods?

Also, once i get my set ill be sure to take the before and after photo's for everyone :)

Everything went well, other than needing extended end links on the rear sway bar and camber bolts in the rear. Cv joints are fine and brake lines were long enough. Hopefully you don't have the issues a few of us had just getting the sumo kit to our door.
 
Disappointing if camber kit is needed. I would've expected that the built in off-set would keep it within spec.

The front blocks are installed incorrectly.

Should be installed so that SUMO reads toward the inside front of the car.

Look at your instructions again step 14.

14. Now you have the strut on the ground. Install the Front lift block. Pay attention as the word SUMO should be read from engine bay like this when it is installed.
 
I'm a super-noob when it comes to this stuff, so here goes...

Can anyone tell me which is better overall as far as parts wear: body lift vs. strut lift? So would installing a lift void my nice 70k mile warranty? Also, how badly would my gas mileage suffer? Sumo parts says their 2" lift would cause the other suspension parts to wear out faster. Any one experience this? Is it really that bad?

Should I wait for that Sumo 4" body lift to come out cost wise, or would its cost far out-weigh the 2" lift kit?

BTW, new member here. Driving a 2012 Forester in Southern California.
 
Although their site claims it, I doubt SUMO will ever make a 4inch body lift for the SH model foz.

I have a 35mm lift in my SH and the front CV boots as always very clean suggesting to me that the boots are rubbing themselves clean alot. Otherwise no issues thus far in 25000kms.

On the SH you will need longer rear brake lines or adaptor brackets over 1 inch.
