Funny/Interesting stuff you see on YouTube

Now this is soft sand.. I'd be airing down much more.

It is with on-road tyre pressures! Muppet.

Cheers

If the road is covered in snow, why wait for a snow plow

Hey Stilson, that Moab vid is a great one. It keeps reappearing every few months. for good reason...its a doozy!

That L series vid is awesom...gotta love how its ENTIRELY covered in mud except for a small section of the taigate

The driver really is pretty gutsy, taking that on. The second run was brilliant! :monkeydance:

I've seen them before, not sure about others though.
But in saying that, it's always great to see them again

HARDCORE!

Some much for 0.6m deep when its coming up the bloody windscreen. The trusty lux does it though

yeah only 0.6m...yeah right! :huh::rotfl:

My question is....with a snorkel, could a Subie have made that or would the electronics short out?

^ I was thinking the same thing NL. One day when I have money to waste I might try it with a cheap car. I know new diesels are just as bad as petrols.

Watch this.

This is my mate Adrian in his GT (he is a member on ausubaru), but again he isn't going a km through deep water. He has however had water come through the air vents. haha

There is this too...

I had a similar but worse situation where I fell in a whole when mudding, both in the foz and my L-Series. With the L, water came upto the windscreen and the whole passengers side went in upto the windows (or close too, wasn't paying that much attention). When I got out though there was water in the dizzy and I couldn't get it to run on more than 2cylinders.

This is Kevin in his Foz, Mr T did the same crossing I'm pretty sure...

The H6 foz, before H6... filled with water and fried the ECU. Water came pouring in through the door seals but atleast it kept running.

Again I reckon this would happen, where your interior fills with water in a major crossing.... This was Jason's foz(previous member on here), I have had the please of driving this beast ;)

This was in Perth, I reckon carby could possibly be better over EFI as there are no electronics really, except for the dizzy. This L ingested water though and hydrolocked... :(

12volt systems do work underwater so that's a bonus. Realistically though if I was doing water crossings often, like up in QLD I'd buy a old Hilux (non commonrail diesel) as they don't need electrics like new ones, have a snorkel on it, front diff lock and rear lsd (incase you fall in a rut you won't get diagnal spin like with Subies). Or an old Mazda Bravo would work too :D

I've done this, but this is pretty much my limit without a snorkel. I'm still tossing up as whether to fit the snorkel I have sitting in my shed or not.... because once you cut that whole in the car, there is no going back.

Oh and this is just stupid, no questions asked! You'd have to be a complete moron to try it.
