N/A Supercharger Project x2

lol damnit just read this whole thread with great interest as I've just done a bit of other reading on Superchargers and totally forgot Taza ended up changing to a different motor in the end. Mods please rename thread - $750 battery relocation project x1 :)

Seriously though, I hope someone does another Supercharger to their Suby at some stage. I remember Subarino's one made a reasonably noticeable difference but never quite blew the pants off people as we'd hoped it would.

Also I think someone commented on here about turbos being crap offroad because of lag - not really in my experience. I ran an EJ20G in my L series for years and I had no issues with this at all. Just the original fairly small turbo that comes with the motor. I even had only the 1:19 low range which I basically never even bothered using. Off boost the motor still had way more than enough balls to get me through, and boost was always just a stomp of the right boot away to just thrash my way up hills or through sand.

Ha-ha... I would've thought you'd read the title, look at the author and put two and two together.

There was a supercharged foz out there - someone was selling a sc12 that was fitted to a forester years ago. It's certainly doable!

Cheers

The Raptor kits seem to be pretty tried and tested, well at least according to the website. Quite pricey but look to be good quality and comprehensive kits.

Why bother with ****. The setup I run now is solid and works well. It's no power house unfortunately but when it died I think it'll be time to move onto doing up a different Subaru, something turbo. Thinkinking Lib GT wagon 2.5l turbo with 240kw atw and 5 speed auto :lildevil:
