Got dogs?

It has been over a month now that our 12 year old Hershey passed. I miss her and think about her every day. She was special.
I'm sorry to hear of the passing of Hershey
I too still think of my Springer everyday, who passed on, 12mths ago this week

Rory looks awfully sweet!!! Thank you for rescuing.
She sure is a cutey & yes thank you for rescuing her

If only all dogs had manners like this & waited their turn to be fed.

P.S Make sure the volume is on for the full effect :)

Well what can I say, my puppy Jerry (11yr old puppy) has been in the wars again :shake: This time it's his knee
He had some xray's etc today & it was confirmed what the vet thought :o
Somehow he's torn the Cruciate Ligament in his knee :sadbanana:
He'll be going into surgery tomorrow (Tues) & will have to stay there for a couple of days :(

On the bright side, they are confident he'll make a full recovery & will be running around with his new knee in about 6-8 weeks time :bananapartyhat:

Best wishes for Jerry!!!

Sounds like he is in good hands, and will be good to go shortly. Glad it is nothing too terribly serious.

Thanks carljwnc :)
Yes he is in good (very good) hands & is having a specialist to do the operation

Luckily it's nothing too serious, apart from the bill that is

Gidday Mr T

Well what can I say, my puppy Jerry (11yr old puppy) has been in the wars again :shake: This time it's his knee

All the best with it, mate. Give Jerry a pat from his friend in Melbourne.

We have just got the news that our two kittens (14.5 y.o., litter mates) have got very early stage chronic renal failure. It's hard to accept that they get older (as we all do ... ). It's also hard to pay the Vet bill ... Not that it's unreasonable, really just highlights how much of our own health care costs are met by insurers and the government.

At this stage, just a change to a special dry food that is for "OLD" cats ... :sadbanana: :sadbanana:. Our previous cat survived well for another 5 years after this diagnosis.

Thanks for the kind thoughts guys, it's very & muchly appreciated :)

The specialist who did the operation (knee reconstruction or T.P.L.O) gave me a call this arvo re the operation.
And he is very very happy with how it went :raz::raz:

He also praised me as to his condition for his age    & couldn't believe he was as old as he is :raz:

Unfortunately he has to stay in hospital for another 48hrs (standard procedure) before he's allowed to come home :(

So, it's going to be a long couple of days until he's home. But hey, if thats what it takes so as he can make a full recovery, then it's worth it :)

P.S He's now also earned a new nickname of Robodog
