2001 Outback
As the various mods are piling up i though i might share what i have done. I bought my Outback in Feb 2010, a few months before I turned 18. It was the cheapest one I could find and afford and it had about 185,000km on it. When i found it i loved it straight away. Stock: Mods and other various bits and pieces. 1. Got rid of the stock double DIN head unit and replaced it with a new single DIN JVC head unit with Ipod interface. Got a second pocket to fill the void left from the double DIN headunit. (Insert pic) 2. The dual mass flywheel was replaced with a single flywheel after the clutch went. New heavy duty clutch. 3. Got rid of the plastic sump guard and made my own out of some 3 or 4( forgot how thick) mm thick aluminium...
My 2003 XS
Thought, since I'd been on here for a while now that I should load a couple of pics of my pride and joy. She's a 2003 XS manual. Wearing 19's with 245 rubber, a JVC in dash DVD screen with 2 10 inch subs 5 IPF lights on the front (as you can see!) and a Walker sports muffler - just enough to give it a bit of boxer rumble Not too many other plans at the moment but I would like to replace the interior with leather one day Hope you like. All comments welcome

My '99 Foz S
I'm a newer Scoob owner, so my work is limited, but i figured i could start this now and add on as i go. Here's what i started off with when i bought her from my aunt. The back side (she's quite the hippie, so i had to spend some time removing all the bumper stickers........:puke:) Gave her a good cleaning, a mini-bra to cover some minor dings on the hood (think it looks quite good!) & some new weather-tec floor mats. After i got the new Hella 500FF installed. Very pleased with them! Still have plans for the body lift & BFG A/T's, but don't want to do one until i'm ready for the other. I'm having a hard time convincing the wife that we need to those A/T's when the $175 ea. Michelins still have 3/4" of the...
98 Forester "S" restoration / trail prep.
98 S with 191,000 miles on her :) Needs headgaskets and a lot of detailing and other minor stuff, but at $500 I could not pass it up! The interior is a combination of leather and shag carpet (or maybe it's dog hair) Hope to have her on the road by the end of summer, this will replace my wifes 07 Legacy until SOA decides to bring over a diesel, or we say screw it and buy a Mahindra Scorpio :evilatyou: :woohoo: For those keeping track at home this is Suby #14 for me, currently have 4 in the driveway  -Ben

So way back when we used to live in a house that my parents owned. I had just gotten out of school and had a good job but we had no rent or mortgage payment, a car payment was no big deal. So I was living high on the hog and loving my 2005 Forester XT!!! Then...my parents finally decided it was time for them to move into this house that they bought (that was the original idea) so they gave us the boot!!! Having to add a mortgage payment to our lives made a car payment out of the question. Both my Subies bit me with the offroad bug badly, however in exploring around I found that most of the trails accessible to me were beyond the stock Subies head. I searched high and low for an old GL, I wasn't going to get anything without a dual...
Sports car driver gone wagon! MY97 Outback Wagon
What's up everyone? Since getting this car in April 2010, I have gone through a bunch of problems that are documented on sl-i.net. Between the timing belt and tensioner being FUBAR'd and a few other annoying issues, I have realised that this is still a great car. I traded my S13 240SX Hatchback for it, straight trade. The 240 had 140k miles, with rotted frame rails and a slipping clutch. The OBW didn't run right, due to the timing being off, has cancer on the passenger side rear quarter, and looks like it was in a slight front end smack up. Other than that, the car was straight and relatively rust free. Oh yeah, and it only had 85k miles on it when I got it. :-) MOD LIST: 02-03 WRX Seats JDM Resin STi Shift knob 03 WRX Momo Wheel...
strat's offroad legacy (or liberty if you prefer)
I give you the offroad legacy build. Initially purchased for rallyx duty, we've changed our focus to an offroading beast. its a 95 legacy, 2.2, 5spd car that my fiance's brother literally beat to a pulp. after $200 it was ours. problems included: bent control arm and overheating issues. pics of when it first came to our driveway. since the first pictures the car has received: ~reattached the upper rad hose  ~replaced thee upper rad hose (after reattaching thought it might be leaking) ~replaced the radiator ~replaced the bent control arm ~removed the a/c compressor ~removed over 3 bags of trash from the interior of the car ~removed the carpet and center console (due to the above) ~replaced the front seats with 2.5rs...

Upfront, and Outback. (lots of pics!)
So i have had my car for over a year now and ill just give u a pictorial timeline Day 1. Purchased in June of 2009. Last winter. Completely stock. Then i got a straight pipe. Went through 7 different exhaust setups. Heres the first pictured mod. and the second... The stock wheels turned to be pretty ugly from all the salt. ( dang midwest...) so i got some stuff to make them nice. primed and painted! and here is my current setup. (different color now)
Mud's mod journal
Many of you have seen the BattleWagon on other sites (SF.org, SO.org), but I figured I'd post it here too, for those who haven't. My primary goal with all of my mods is to make it a good car to take to college, and still have some fun. I originally wanted a Forester XT, but that didn't happen, so instead, I have this. While it lacks the approach/departure angles of the Foz, it makes up for it in road manners and build quality. 2000 Subaru Outback 2.5L 4EAT I don't do any real heavy duty off-roading yet, as I'm waiting to get better tires when my performance all-seasons wear out. For now, I mostly just enjoy fire roads and sliding around in muddy fields. :) I hope to be able to do some 'real' wheeling some day. I also have a...

Well I'm home on the farm for spring break. We have fields out back that we don't use anymore but rent out to a neighbor. He hasn't planted yet so I decided to go back and see what I could do and have some fun. got a little dizzy here in the soft dirt found my old deer stand forester view from the stand
Well the subie has moved on to another loving ORS member, and I thought I'd share a quick pic of my new car. It is an 85 Land Rover County, running the legendary Isuzu 3.9 diesel. Its decked out with ARB front bar, sliders/side steps, full roof rack and ladder rack, 2 inch lift, poly bags in rear coils, Salisbury rear diff with Detroit auto locker, centre diff lock, and a bunch of little mods like custom bucket seats, sound proofed and carpeted interior... List of things to come very soon: New stereo (only have AM or Cassette at the moment...) Maxis Bighorn Muddies Lightforce 240 HIDs Snorkle UHF Swaybar disconnects Later mods on wish list: Storage system of some description Long travel shocks and dislocation cones on rear Winch...
2jz929's forester transformation
Thought i would make a little thread on my Forester. Bought it stock around 3 months ago and started making changes within the first week of owning it. Its a '03 2.5XT auto. When i first got it, it had Thule roof racks and a Haymen Reece towbar which were added bonuses. Heres how i first got: The first thing i did was take it drags to see how it went. Resulting in a 14.9@90mph I then took it up double island point the next weekend to try it out on the sand and were impressed: I then bought a second hand subaxtreme bullbar, fixed it up, painted it and put it on the following week: As i live out in central queensland the next addition was some hella FF1000 driving lights (as you can see in the next pics). After doing some...
Another "Sick" Day
Well, it snowed again....out of nowhere. Woke up this morning to my pup needing out, and found 4 inches of fresh powder on everything. So me loving snow, called into work, and head out to my favorite off-roading adventure spots and had some fun. This time, I mainly focused on video moreso than pictures. Below is a YouTube video of my day, along with some goofy narration. I was VERY impressed with the way the Foz handled itself off-road, especially in the slick stuff (even with bald tires). Although, the day was not without incident, it was still by far my most favorite. I stayed out off-roading from 9am to 5pm....drained an entire tank of fuel, and managed to bang up the car a little. My first incident was within the first 5 minutes...
Rugged MY04 Forester
Bought my MY04 Forester X in late-2005. Original owner was Snowy Mountains Shire Council. It had bonnet and headlight protectors, 35,300km on the clock and a small dent in the near-side door. First trip was to Maryborough, Queensland, to Jodie Reid at the original SubaXtreme factory. Mods by SubaXtreme: Off-road bullbar with Subaru fog lights and Navara driving light kit. Rear bar with towbar, tyre carrier and jerry can carrier. Sumpguard, lift kit and heavy duty rear springs. As anticipated, the wheel arches looked pretty empty with the standard tyres. Chris Tofalakis at ABC Tyrepower at Rosebery (Sydney) took care of that with Coopers ATR 215/70R16 tyres all round. These were capped off with 50mm flexi flares on the wheel...
