Coming - My New Setup

Word I keep hearing is that the kings are prone to sagging.

Yes I agree, mine have sagged a little, but only in the rear. Not much mind you, but still enough to be a pain in the butt.

Bloody nice foz there Kevin. I want my summer tires to look like that too
I want my foz to be that high but that will never happen as long as I don't know if I even get it legal over here. Heck I'm not even sure my current king spring setup is legal. Lol

I didn't think Koni made inserts for Foresters. How did they get one suitable? Is it because you have raised springs? I would love some.
My mate had them put in his Hilux and it was fantastic on our trip up north. He had them on the middle setting so maybe you could fix the ride by fixing them on a softer setting than this.

They told me the inserts were for a Liberty (Legacy) - a '99 model I think. The rear struts were extended 25mm.

I now have the Konis on the middle setting and this seems good for on & offroad so far. The softer setting doesn't seem to control the springs very well. I am yet to try the hardest setting. The car is handling very well and the ride has improved.

Any idea of the part number on those Koni's? I've been lookin to do something similar for a long time but never found anything online.

I'll have a look at the invoice at home - but I don't think it has part numbers on it.

The car is also higher - I'll get measurements on the weekend.

Well, it's been a few "weekends" !

Hub to guard Front 480mm Rear 490mm

Guard to ground Front 800mm Rear 820

Minimum Clearance Front (exhaust) 265mm Rear (diff) 315mm

Hey Kevin.

It's almost two years since you put these in: how are they going?

I'd be interested to know, becuase they look like a good alternative to coilovers.
