What have you done to your car today?

Got my oil changed. I'm getting really fast at crawling under the front end and removing/installing my skid plate!

Found where I'd bottomed out a few weeks ago. About 3 inches behind the end of my skid plate, a good little ding in the heat shield. Looks like no harm done, good place to bottom out, if you're going to anywhere. *thinks about a lift*

We undercompensated on the offset as a trade off to CV life and power transmission, they're not very negative (if at all) but at least they're not positive anymore.

There is 4.5mm caster compensation though and that could be helping a little.

The caster correction is probably what has lessened the harshness of the suspension.

Thanks guys, I'm stoked with it. The ali is growing on me and does match the car pretty well I think :D

Mounted my spotties and wired them up on the new bullbar. Fitted my sumpguard back on after grinding off more rattling headshields again :iconwink: Also fitted my new fishing rod holder.

I just measured under my sumpgaurd a few mins ago. At my lowest point I have 305mm of clearance. When the new tyres come along it should go up 20mm :lildevil:

Pics :raspberry:

Washed RonnyRoo ...

Being somewhat less than 6'7" tall :raspberry:, I needed a short step ladder to reach the roof ...

I reckon it took me nearly twice as long as washing Roo2. More area! And more little ins and outs. Even the 5 spoke wheel design makes them harder to wash than the simpler, cleaner 8 spoke design on Roo2.

All up, it made me appreciate the very clean lines and design of the MY06 as against the somewhat fussier design of the MY10 (it's still not quite Baroque though ... :rotfl:).

Anyway, it looks nice and clean again for SWMBO.

She's sure racking up the miles in it though! Going to TAFE 3 days a week piles on the miles, I guess. She loves it ... :)
Really  that she does. I'm glad! It's a very nice car.

The only thing you could do to the ali bar is polish it then clear coat it a few times - if it's not already done. I'm looking at doing it to my bar as well as Sunnie the Brumby's bar too. This keeps the bar looking flash all the time and stops that corrosion you see when they're not coated like mine.

Dad and I found this out when we got a bar for his rangie - we were both there saying "ah yeah that totally makes sense". Yeah we felt a little stupid :raz:

Cheers

Bought a pair of Narva Plus 50 H1s for the Fox today. $8.80 each plus tax.

I guarantee I will have twice as much light as I do now (one headlight is out). :rotfl:

Let there be light!

The rig is looking awesome Taza.

Got the suspension done in the wife's Foz yesterday, WRX struts/STi springs aka probably not going to get any epic offroad shots in this sled
