Lift Pattern (DIY Lift Kit Information)

Nor with Led Zeppelin either :iconwink:

These dimensions were only calculated, never tried or tested, but should be ballpark to what you would need to get the camber close. You will most likely need camber adjustment bolts as well.

Quoting myself^^^. A few posts later frogstar said that he used a 6mm (.236") offset front and rear, then stated that he should have gone 7mm (.276") perhaps he has more on that. I think the camber bolts might be a good idea either way, and they are not too expensive.

I know Frogstar said a 7mm/.275" would have been better but you are at 2x the offset on the rear (.516"/13.106mm)...thats why I asked. Thanks for the reply.

I believe at .516 the spacer wouldn't fit,it would be to far inboard against the inner strut tower.

rear top hat

Are there drawings to make 2" spacers for the rear top hats on a 2000 legacy.

Thanks Nate

new to site but have been reading a few forums so FYI, Have made lift kit up myself off what frogstar posted and went with 7mm offset front and back, rear struts run real close to body of car so needed to modify body a bit but otherwise all went well, getting wheel alignment today. Installed myself and took about 5 hour in garage, so not to hard, only took an hour to get all four struts out! Fiddly getting back in!

Howdy and :welcome:Stateo97!!!

Awesome, glad this info is being used. We would, of course, love to see some pics of your car with the lift installed, and if you took any pics of the blocks you made that might be helpful to others in the future.:)

P.S. You might want to update your profile with a location, and add your vehicle of choice to your signature line.

G'day

Looks like a lot of work went into this :yourock:
Would this fit a 1998 forester? cause thats what im looking at buying and already looking for a way to lift it

Howdy and :welcome:Dimitri!!!

Look back through the thread and pay close attention to frogstar7055's posts, he built his lift for an SF series Forester as well. Make sure you verify bolt hole spacing before drilling anything.:)

why do you need an offset? ive seen strut top spacers made by companies that are just 1 or 2 inch thick blocks on top of tjhe struts, that just come with big bolts haha. whats the difference? less work your camber bolt has to do?

As you go higher the camber of the suspension alters. Off-set bolt holes correct for this. (i.e. separate set of short bolts top and bottom, rather than single bolts from top to bottom.)

very clever. i dont have the resources to do it myself, although i'd love to. however i would be willing to pay someone 100 bucks plus shipping to fab me up a set for a 2003 fozzy x.

Does anyone have a drawing they can put up or send to me? I see drawings mentioned, such as in post #28, but don't see them attached anywhere.
Thanks.
Simon
