My thoughts on shocks and suspension

Delays on my suspension build.
They dont like my SLS rear struts, will swap them over for a set of standard ones and then there will be a thread with pics and numbers and all that crapola.

^ The SLS is a terrific idea; some very good lateral thinking in the design; but just not heavy duty enough for the job.

Like the parallel I have drawn before about the Hydrolastic suspension in my Kimberley. Great idea; not so good execution ... .

The lower body tapers inwards and doesn't leave as much room for longer inserts.

I have to modify (already !) the front top mounts to make them lower about 1', because I don't want a body lift and with the actual length, the CV axle will rub against the bottom of the strut...

Unable to find a longer insert. Without extra travel I don't see any point raising springs so will keep my blocks and just enjoy having better shocks. Dissapointed but wallet is happier. Will post part numbers of the koni inserts.

Hey Stilson,
Keen to hear how it turned out for you. Would also be very interested to hear details.
Im also on the cusp of upgrading my suspension, just trying to collect as much info as possible before taking the plunge.
