The Twinkmobile 2.0

I have recently bought a 1997 3.1L Turbo Diesel Holden Jackaroo. It's a manual with locking hubs in the front and an LSD in the rear. It's got 223K on the clock and has been serviced since new at Holden.

Current mods are: Redarc Dual Battery system, ARB compressor in the engine bay, Milford OEM cargo barrier and turbo timer.

Future mods are: roofbasket with ladders, sliders/side steps, 30mm lift front and rear, replacing the 30L auxiliary tank with a 60L one, awnings on the sides and rear, Bashplate install and plenty of lights!

... and before you said you were keeping it as stock as possible:lol:

Keeping stock from the local fourbie shop it seems!

But he's going to enjoy it as he goes, aren't ya Twink! Not just hide it in the garage until its monstrous?

We need to test before its too modified to see if it stands a chance against my forry.

Exams finish in 45 hours 45minutes.

I'd like to do Yeagarup and Wedge-Jurien these holidays. We'll have to work out who's keen for which trips and when to do them. I'll post in monthly adventure thread.

We'll get you some sand driving experience first, both to get you a better idea of what to do and to learn what your cars capable of. Either go on one of those driving courses or get me or someone else to go passenger/instructor in your car.

After that you should be more confident in your cars capabilities and won't destroy Twinklemobile 2!

I've done Lancelin -> Wedge along the beach in a turbo diesel Pajero a few times and a bit of beach driving down South. I haven't done any rock and the only dunes were beach exits.

Oh wait no, I did one rock on a beach track and then my Dads Pajero wasn't allowed off road again. It was just a ding in the side step. Then I got the Foz.

I'll be taking my Red to Yeagarup. But if you like I'll go shotgun for your first bit of dune driving until you get a feel for it and I'll just leave Red on top of a dune were everyone can see her. We could also do a local trip before then if you like?

I should be free most of next week. I work Saturday's and have to fit my lift sometime, but that's about it. We have a choice of Wilbinga (North, near 2 rocks), White hills (South, but I haven't been there yet) and then there's pine (which is a dirty kind of sand)
