Thank you Kevin. I have been looking at all the the centre diff lock mod and it looks like my is the yellow green wire
I should probably be posting about what I did in the '4WD On Demand From 4EAT' thread. Centre Diff Lock isn't what it was all about - there is no diff, just a clutch pack.
Or maybe Kev, as administrator, you could move them? I'll put up some more pics if anybody is interested too.
It's actually quite a simple mod to do, hardest part was working out the neatest, most efficient way to arrange the components and mount them.
It's a great piece of extra functionality for so many reasons. The Forester now has a secret weapon.
This is what I have done so forHi Kevin, can I ask you when say the aim is not to supply current to the resistor and solenoid for a non-turbo, does that mean you only add negative to the TMS and Solenoid?
Hi Kevin, this what I have done so far. Please can you help me. Ground the resistor to NO so the TMS and solenoid this that what you are saying?@Dale - the aim for my model as best I can recall is to disperse current to ground via the resistor/s so as to not trigger any warning lights.
Ground the resistor to NO so the TMS and solenoid
@NoShoes Looks like it can be done for SH: 4WD On Demand From 4EAT! | https://www.subaruforester.org/threads/4wd-on-demand-from-4eat.3091/page-24#post-7555589
Note that is an XT so connections may be different for NA so will need some testing
The 2011 Forester has lower values / measurements for that mod. I calculated it appropriately and did the mod. It was unsuccessful.I heard about this mod in some forum a while back and was thinking of giving it a try on my forester.
4EAT Diff-Lock Switch and Handbrake Mod -... | https://www.rs25.com/forums/f8/t99075-4eat-diff-lock-switch-handbrake-mod-torquemada-lite.html
That link is probably the best description of it that I've found but there seems to be a least one huge thread on just about every forum with people trying to figure it out.
Has anyone on here had any experience with this mod. Just wanted to know if it's worth the effort and whether anyone has had any issues with it.
